FM26 3D Goalkeeper Kit Manager Plugin - UPDATE V0.3
Hey all! I bring a new plugin for you to use! This time updated to V0.2!
As many know, you've been able to mod outfield 3D kits for years. The goalkeeper was always stuck with whatever the game shipped. That's fixed!
This mod puts custom 3D goalkeeper kits on any team, with separate kits for home, away and third. The keeper wears the one that matches the strip his team is in that match. Team plays in its away kit, the keeper wears your away GK kit. If there's no kit for that slot, he keeps the game default, so nothing ends up half-finished.
Getting it
The download is attached to this post. Close FM and navigate to the following folder to install it:
Steam: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 26
Xbox Game Pass: XboxGames\Football Manager 26\Content
Epic Games: Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\FootballManager26
When it asks you to override things, please select yes.
I have included a guide readme in the download. This is to ensure that you know where and how to add the kits and the config lines.
Changes included in the V0.2:
Reload kits without restarting (Ctrl+Shift+R; shows on the next kit build).
Kit configs work in any folder under Kits, matched by team ID instead of folder layout.
Reads FM's real graphics folder from the game, so it works when the data folder is on another drive, moved, or under OneDrive.
Development material-dump logging turned off.
Here is the installation video:
Adding keeper kits
GK kits live in your graphics/Kits/3d folder, same place as your other kits. Installing a goalkeeper kit pack works exactly like installing any kit pack. Making your own is one texture plus one line in the team's config file, and the guide walks through it.

is this possible on FM24?
hi, I just found this mod and it doesn't seem to be working for me. I think I've installed everything correctly going by this post and the yt video but the game just isn't showing my keeper kits
What are the changes between 0.2 and 0.3?
The mod correctly changes the GK kit between home/away/third, but it forces the GK to use the same slot as the team instead of respecting FM’s kit collision system. Would it be possible to let FM choose an alternative GK kit when the current one clashes with the referee’s kit? When my team's playing away gk it is away and then it's colliding with referee or smh, not trying to nag but Im just curious if you could fix that?
From your description it seems like it selects one of 3 gk kits based on field kits. I.e. if field players have home kit, it uses home gk kit as well. Is it so? I'm asking because GK kits are selected separately i.e. if opponent field kit is similar GK can use 2nd or 3rd kit when the rest of the team has home one.
i'm having real struggles getting it to work, watched the youtube, read the guide. just nothing at all. ive obviously screwed up something
I'm following the steps, but I don't see the kits in the game. I have Borussia (ID 907); the outfield kits are there, but the goalkeeper kits aren't. Help!
Is it only the plugin you need to add to the Bepinex folder, or do I need the whole lot?
Only the plugin if you use my other suite of plugins :)
Hey Bassy, love what you've done with the GK kits! Feel like I've been waiting for this feature for ages ahaha. One question, whatever I do it seems like the GK kits have the numbers in white (even going against the editor). is there a fix for this or is it just how it is?
Hi Kerem, there isn't a fix for that now no sadly. I am researching if there's a way to change kit fonts and colors on the text, but no success yet.
Is there a way to choose which kits the teams are wearing in this mod? Or plans for it in the future?
There are plans in the future yeah!
I can't get it to work. I download your file and then place it in the Football Manager 2026 folder using this path: Steam: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 26. However, when I start the game, I can't see the kits, even though they have been created correctly.
Hi Jamil, please follow the instructions in the readme guide for the location of the kits. It is probably a very silly thing in where they are placed since the plugin is placed correctly.
hope this can work for Mac too
Hi Bassey! I’m excited to try this. When I downloaded the folder, it had several files (maybe 468 to be precise). In the video you only had 1 ddl file in the folder. I actually done see the GoalkeeperKitManager folder in the zip. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
same problem for me. Tried to copy the whole folder into plugins folder, but the kits did not load when I started the game.
You Should get a job at sports interactive mate , miles Jacobson and sega would love your input
parabens vc é fera otimo trabalho
If I use your stadium mod, I only need the "GoalkeeperKitManager" folder from the full package, right? I just copy that into the existing "plugins" folder? Everything else is already covered by the stadium mod. And a second question: the mod doesn't include goalkeeper kits? That means the mod isn't of any use to me yet—until the corresponding goalkeeper kits become available for download (e.g., on sortitoutsi)?
Hi, yeah you can do that. I haven't included kits no, but when they get made they will be downloadable I think from Sortitoutsi etc. It's not useless in that sense.
i just cant download it, my computer virus protector just blocks it
for me it said it hade a virus on it? when i downloadid it. help?
Hey Noah, then its a false flag by smartscreen. You'll want to click on download anyway. It isn't a virus, but since it regenerates dll files it can come up as a false flag.
Many thanks for this pal. Bland goalkeeper kits always bugged me, so thank you for fixing this bug-bear.
Thanks mate! Hopefully adds some more immersion too!
you have 3d gk kits to share so we can test it?
I only have two, but I hope the community will come up with big things here :D
You have done amazing things for this game mate, polished a turd you could say.
Thanks so much Darrell!
I have been waiting so long for something like this
Hopefully you can figure out referee kits too now Bass! Huge thanks for this!
I hope so too! And maybe tracksuit design too?
