Always wondered why he had to touch his visor to release a beam.
he doesn't, the switch is in his gloves. I think canonically he's not shooting a beam from his eyes so much as his eyes are a portal to another dimension, and when open, they let the massive amounts of energy free so the controls in his gloves narrow and widen to scope of the visor (bottom two fingers and palm) and he has to hold the visor steady.
AWESOME!! What would be epic is to have the 90's X-Men all done in Wicked style with a big diorama base of the Dangerroom!
