Update - 07/11/2022
Hello! How's everyone doing? As I expected, this week I've been almost unable to do anything productive, since my partner finally returned home, and she brought her mother with her. We're setting her up in a new apartment and it's been a week of cleaning and carrying stuff back and forth, so pretty exhausting. It's all for the better though! Let's see if this week things get a little bit back to normal.
Regardless of that, I managed to finish the layout for the Characters chapter for Path of the Aram Thyr, and I uploaded it here for you guys to take a look at it. It's missing most of the art but it can give you a good idea of what I'm going for with this game, so I hope you like it!
I really don't think I'll be able to have Path of the Aram Thyr finished for you guys this month; I could finish the layout for sure, but the art would be missing, so it wouldn't be a finished product. I'm having a lot of expenses lately (so much so that I no longer have any savings left) so I'm afraid I can't afford the art needed for the game just yet. I had hoped that the digital and PoD sales of Sacrifice and its expansion would cover the art for Path, but so far I've only sold about 40 copies total. I think we're all a bit broke lately, and the world's current state of affairs is not really inspiring anyone to go spend money. Let's hope things get better soon, for all of us!
Regardless of any of that, this month will most likely see the release of more Sacrifice content (hope you guys aren't sick of it already, haha). Both Imad Ottallah and Perplexing Ruins are writing scenarios for it, and I want to complement it with my evolving plots idea taken from Disciples of Bone & Shadow. So you'll have two fully fleshed out adventures to run, and then a still-to-be-determined number of plots for you to discover during your journeys across No Man's Land. I don't know yet about the page count but I think it should be enough for you guys to keep yourselves entertained for a while!
I did have a bit of time to work on Empire Undying; I keep jumping from one system to another when the inspiration strikes. One of the core parts of the game is going to be your "criminal empire" (it will have a proper name once I think of it, haha). This implies having a bunch of underlings at your service, and sending them to do stuff for you. I want to integrate a morale system to see the overall reaction that all your "employees" as a whole have, and their opinion as a group of your organization. This will be affected by many different factors, but mostly by how the organization is performing. As always though, this subsystem is optional and you can ignore it all together. If you want just to go on delves, do missions, and explore the countryside and ruined city districts without dealing with an organization, you can do it!
I've also checked a bit of what I had for Under Ashen Skies, and the work cleaning up the old systems and bringing them up to the same level as the ones in Across a Thousand Dead Worlds continues. Speaking of ATDW, Phil apparently decided to go back and redo some of his work, so right now I'm afraid there's no ETA for the PDF. I'll let you guys know as soon as I do, apologies.
That's it for now, have a great week!
