Update - 19/09/2022

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? I hope you guys had time to relax and have fun with family and friends. My partner is still away and she'll not be coming back for at least 2 more months, and most of my friends are busy lately so I'm just sitting home working and reading, which is honestly perfect, haha.

This week has been really productive: I'm almost done with Empire Undying's Sorcery rules! They are simple but very flavorful, I hope you guys like them once they're uploaded here. Essentially, the way sorcery works is as follows:

- You find an entity's true name.

- With that name, you can perform a ritual. The more you prepare, the easier it is to bind the entity to your service. You can't cast spells unless you have the correct type of entity bound to you, so if you want to cast water spells, you need to find a water elemental's true name and bind it.

- Once you are ready, you perform an opposed WIL check. If you win, the entity is bound to you, as long as you don't break their one condition. Each type of entity asks for different things.

- You must always bind an entity to an item, and when you cast a spell you must be either holding or at least touching that item. Rings make for ideal binding items. Once the entity is bound, the item changes depending on the type of entity you bound to it. So if it's an air elemental maybe there's always a breeze around you, or if it's a pestilence demon flies surround you. Fun stuff!

And that's essentially it. There are miscasts, and consequences for not succeeding at binding an entity, all the stuff you would expect. I think it's pretty straightforward and fun!

Leo and I (mostly Leo) have been ironing out the last details for the Sacrifice physical release. He's waiting on one of the many moving parts to arrive to his HQ, but once he's able to put it all together, the book will be ready to go! The copies are already printed, so we're really getting close. It's going to be super cool, you'll see!

So this week I'll wrap up the sorcery rules, and most likely be super busy with the imminent release of Across a Thousand Dead Worlds, which should be ready any moment now, according to what Phil told me last time I spoke to him. This is so exciting! I'll keep you guys posted about it all, as usual.

Have a great week!
