Update 01/02/2021

Hey! How are you all doing? It's been a week with lots of work, but very productive! As you may have noticed, I finished the new Patreon content for Disciples of Bone & Shadow, and I'm very happy with it. I hope it provides you with many hours of entertainment! Aside from that, I also finished the layout for the new version of "Trees are People Too", the Seekers Beyond the Shroud scenario that was published here on Patreon past year. I've fixed lots of things, made an all-new layout, and added some new art pieces. Here's the cover!

I'm just waiting for two more illustrations and then it will be done! It's been a lot of testing new things and experimenting with different designs and colors (originally I made it with lots of green, then I switched it to red cause of the cover), but I love the end result. The idea is to have this available as a PDF on my site, DTRPG and itch.io, and as a PoD via DTRPG. I don't think I'll make physical copies myself this time, unless there's a lot of demand... Once it's up on DTRPG as a PoD title (which will take a while, considering I must order proofs and that takes weeks now due to Brexit), I can give anybody here a code to get it at cost. I'll let you know once it's up! I'll also upload the PDF here for Evocatus and Master patrons, of course.

So what's next? As soon as I get the few illustrations I'm missing for Warlock, it will be off to the print, hopefully within the next 10 days or so. That means I'm finally clearing my schedule, which means I can finally start fixing the Seekers cards, and work on Under Ashen Skies again. And of course, I'll continue working (yes, I already started this weekend) on the next Patreon content, this time for Seekers! It's going to be something that will be released as part of the Narrative Playbook: Chaos Magic. This is my take on free-form magic, so let's see how I handle it! This is how it starts:

"Chaos Magic is a new discipline that allows an adept to cast spells in a spontaneous way, without needing the intervention of a spirit. In order to do so, the magician must bypass the conscious mind and reach beyond time and space, until they’re able to tap into the Kia, the universal consciousness. The magician then shapes this raw, limitless well of probabilities with the power of their vril, bringing forth their desires into the material world."

This is tricky to get right, so let's see how I do!

Aside from these things, I imagine I'll work during my personal free time on that strange passion project I mentioned, the one with minis... It's going to be really cool, you'll see!

So I think that's all for this week, hope everybody has a great one!

I really like the cover, and look forward to the PoD. The intro so far for the Chaos Magic sounds very promising.

Thanks! I'm just waiting for 2 more illustrations, and then I'll send it to Glynn from MonkeyBlood Design to deal with the file so it's up to DTRPG's standards (which is a huge pain in the ass). What will take the longest is waiting for the proof to arrive, due to Brexit... So all in all, it could very well mean this is not available before March, I'm afraid. Chaos Magic is going to be a lot of fun!

Yes, I know you cannot wait for free-form magic, haha. But it's tricky! I spent yesterday 2 hours thinking of different solutions... I think for starters you'll have to develop the spell you want, and the more powerful it is, the more difficult it is to create it. I think it's a cool system so far, hopefully I'll not need too much time to finish it!
