Update - 05/10/2020

Hello! How was your weekend? I hope you guys had a great one. I didn't do much, a bit of procrastination playing the new Crusader Kings, and writing game-related stuff. I'm working on this month's Patreon content, and I know I mentioned before I had started working on a Nemesis system for Seekers Beyond the Shroud, but I had a sudden idea that I thought was better, and I just had to pursue it. So I switched projects for now, and I'm working on this new thing, which is... new Sites to explore! Specifically, it's outdoor locations. For now, there are 4: Cemetery, Park, Forest and Dark Alleys. These work quite differently than the other Locations though, so I think they're a very nice addition to the game. Each of the four new Outdoor Locations has its own Discovery, Event and Encounter tables, so that's what's keeping me busy (I'm terribly slow at creating this type of content, it's probably the thing I dislike the most about game design, haha). I think this is going to revitalize the game a lot though, especially for those who have been playing it for a while!

In other cool news, the Mission Deck is out! I've uploaded the PDF for Master Patrons, and I sent the discount links to all those who were interested in it. The discount is only for the PDF, though! For some reason, I was unable to create the discount code for the PoD version. Maybe it's because the profit margin is very small and DTRPG doesn't want to lose its cut? I need to investigate further, sorry!

Aside from this, I've been mostly focusing on the new, surprise project, which I'll announce soon. It's not a new game, it's simply a step further towards Blackoath's independence. I still want to work with Exalted Funeral (they'll release Under Ashen Skies and the big project after that), but the fact is, they've grown so much, so quickly, that I'm right now just a tiny part of it and Matt simply doesn't have the same time to dedicate to my projects as he did before, and it's showing. I wanted to have the Narrative Playbook out already, but I honestly don't know why it hasn't been sent to print. Considering I paid all the editing and illustrations from my own pocket (that's never cheap), I wanted to at least be able to recuperate my investment relatively soon, and most importantly, get the book in the hands of all those who want a physical copy. I'm really not mad at the EF folks cause I know they're seriously overworked, so I sincerely don't blame them and love them for all they do. But I also need my games to get out there, and I don't see why I can't do both: work with EF while also releasing stuff by myself! So the Mission Deck was a first, small step, and the next one's coming pretty soon (it's quite ambitious, and I think a lot of people are going to like it).

So this week I'll continue working on this secret project, and the Patreon content. And if I have time, I'll slowly keep working on Under Ashen Skies, which is, unfortunately, suffering from my lack of time. At least I have Vi writing stuff for it!

Hope everybody has a great week!
