Update - 13/07/2026
Hello, and welcome to another weekly update! I hope you all had a great weekend. I spent mine working and enjoying myself by playing music and some boardgames. Pretty relaxing weekend!
It's been a more focused week, fortunately. I've been dealing with a lot of things (The Book of Horrors, getting the Vaelorian Codex ready for print, trying to set up the RPG Trader products, and more), but I have managed to make good progress with Broken Shores 2e. I've added Follower rules, and I think they turned out great, I'm excited to give them a go! I have finally managed to wrap up the rules chapter, and today I'll get started with the exploration chapter. There's still a lot left to do before the game's done, but I'm confident I'll finish it next month.
I'm really hoping I finally get the proof copies for the first three Machine Gods books this week, because sales are pretty awful so far, and I'm hoping those books will provide a boost. As soon as I'm sure that the books look good, I'll send the at-cost links to Master and Grand Master members (and to anyone who backed the KS, of course).
I'm working in pararel with Broken Shores, both writing the content and laying it out as I go, so I'm able to get some cool art ready in the process. This week I got a really cool illustration and I decided to make a T-shirt out of it because I wanted one. Check it out! It's fun to be able to make shirts of all the fantastic illustrations I have for my games...
This week it will be more of the same: Broken Shores, getting Machine Gods ready for proper distribution (which includes the offset copies, which are already printed), and The Book of Horrors. I want to record a short video explaining what's new on Broken Shores 2e, but I don't know if that will be this week or the next one.

Oh no, sorry to hear sales aren't where you want them for MG. Like you said, maybe once the books are out after the proofs come back then things will improve. Would investing in content creators featuring game play on a stream help create a buzz and drive sales (or investing in general in some form of marketing)? I was convinced to back the KS after I had watched Alone in the Dork's video series for eg.
Oh no, I wasn't referring the the Machine Gods sales, the books aren't available yet! I was talking in general. I do hope that once the first three Machine Gods books are released (maybe today!) I'll get some much needed cash, haha. As for content creators, I contact anyone I can think of and send review copies all the time, but it's rarely effective. I'm always open to suggestions!
