I think Obsession is so overrated.. I absolutely enjoyed the movie but obsession is nothing compared to the other movies on the list as my opinion. Like Carrie 1976, Alien 1979, The shining, Godzilla minus one, Scream,Get out, The sixth Sense

Alien is a great classic with multiple great sequels 💕and practical magic since charmed is almost over it has a similar vibe and you could do the sequel 🧙♀️

It's curious that *Sweeney Todd* or *Dracula* aren't on the list… they were among the most upvoted suggestions. Is it possible she's already seen them? Anyway, it's an interesting list; we'll see what wins in the end. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll make for a great reaction, as always!

If she has already seen *Sweeney Todd*, then that’s fine. Otherwise, I think it’s unfair to the more than two hundred people who voted for that film in the previous post. *Crimson Peak* also received votes from many people but is missing from this list.

Obsession is a genuinely great movie. It's not very "halloween-y" but it's not overrated at all.
Nightmare before christmass must be a mandatory watch every christmas and ever halloween ahahahahahha (like its for me)
As much as I like lots of movies on the list,some of them are not even scary😅 Sixth Sense is such a classic and deserves your attention! I really enjoyed Sinners,PM,Interview with the vampire etc though

The fact that Obsession leads just shows you how far horror cinema and fans have fallen. It's trash and shouldn't even be close to any of the rest of this list. Six of these aren't even Halloween movies or at least in the realm of Halloweenish.

Sad that we live in a world where Obsession and Sinners have more votes than The Shining. Other than that, The Sixth Sense is not a horror film nor a Halloween film at all so i can't recommend that. The Crow is not horror but it's one of the best halloween films and it takes place the night right before halloween. Ghostbusters is one of the best Halloween films and being supernatural comedy with some light Horror elements means it's not scary at all but spooky yes. Alien obvious recommendation for horror but not a good halloween film. Scream not just one of the best horror films but also the most halloween film in this entire list.

I voted for Scream since you said you wanted a horror movie. I also voted for Ghostbusters, which isn't horror, but still a really fun spooky movie and a classic. And it does have some horror elements.

are you guys kidding me right now ? you get one opportunity for her to watch a horror movie and you waste it by picking a movie that just came out only last year instead of one of the old classics ? seriously lol.
Yeah, I was entertained by Obsession, but the plot is identical to an old Tales From the Crypt episode (and the Tales From the Crypt episode had a better ending.) Can't say anything more than that because I don't want to spoil it. It's still a good movie though, especially if you haven't seen Tales From the Crypt.
Please add Tucker and Dale vs Evil, is an underrated gem, and perfect for Halloween!! It’s watchable anytime though if it’s too late 😊

The Shining is the best movie on this list and my favorite horror movie of all time. But I would love to see her reaction to Obsession.
Sleepy Hollow is such a vibe!! And Practical Magic, especially as the second one is out/coming out shortly. Get Out is a great option too.

Hear me out: i love Scream, Obsession, Sinners and Alien as much as anyone else, but: I'm rooting for Sixth Sense because its just so iconic and its a movie that is perfect for reaction channels since it has an interesting story that slowly presents itself, plus the last half is iconic and perfect for Sofie because it has the perfect mix of character, emotions, mystery and surprise. Plus, its no more scary than the Haunting of Hill house which was already watched on this channel. Plus, I think Sofie needs to see this movie sooner rather than later because something could get spoiled.

IMO Obsession shouldn't even be on the list. It's a great movie, but it isn't Halloween scary at all. It's terrifying and disturbing for very different reasons. It definitely isn't a Halloween movie though.
