Chandlers Dad is played by Kathleen Turner. You should watch the movie Romancing The Stone to see a young Kathleen Turner. The show runners acknowledged that they were wrong about Chandler's dad, and that they should not have misgendered her.

This finale is one of my favorites! First, Monica and Chandler’s wedding! I love how we have been able to see them through several seasons of being friends first, then dating and now as a married couple. I love their vows to each other. ❤️ Secondly, the twist with Rachel being the one who is pregnant. Thirdly, I think Ross was the MVP of the wedding. He found and really helped Chandler through his anxiety step by step. He was a good friend and brother here.
The season started out with Rachel stealing Monica's thunder, and the season ends with Rachel stealing Monica's thunder 😂

Jennifer plays it so well. Looking back you can definitely see she is the one who is pregnant. Such perfect subtleties in her performance. When Phoebe makes the discovery you can see Rachel’s really the one it’s affecting. And then as someone else noted you can see how teary she is through the episode. Finally we get to go into my favorite season! 8🩵if you loved the Monica snd chandler storyline just hold tight for what’s about to come! The later seasons of friends are truly outstanding!
Jennifer is great here! The last scene where she hardly says anything, but so many emotions are reflecting on her face from fear and anxiety to hope and joy is one of her best acting moments on Friends. And in the bathroom scene, when Phoebe makes a derogatory remark on the way of contraception, as they start to leave the bathroom, Rachel makes a bit of angry/defensive face, so tiny, it is almost invisible. (It WAS invisible originally, because only the widescreen version shows it, but still, it is so funny).
Mommy bear Rachel is coming up 🥺 you gonna love her in the next season and her journey with pregancy.

How cute is that, that altough Chandler (rather understandably) freaked out by the name Bings, he was not at all freaked out by the news of Monica's pregnancy, what's more this information seemed to have a good effect on him. Even if it turned out a misinformation, we still could see how he has grown a lot since season 1.
I love how the twist at the end is so huge and unexpected, but if you watch back the episode, Monica is focusing ONLY on the wedding, even when she trips and falls, meanwhile Rachel is constantly on the verge of crying on the morning of the wedding, and in the bathroom scene her arms are protectively around her front. At first glance it is not suspicious, because, well, she is Rachel, always emotional, but retrospectively there are all the signs, in plain sight.
I love that detail too! They were so clever with not making it obvious and fooling the audience, it's definitely one I love re-watching and noticing the hints.
That wasn’t actually Chandler and Phoebe’s first kiss, they first kissed when she was still very pregnant and they kept walking in on Chandler and Monica kissing. When he had to kiss her and Rachel each time to cover it 😂
Maybe those don't count because those were just european goodbyes🤔

The spitting actor is Gary Oldman you know him as Sirius Black from HP
He was hilarious in this, he really showed his comedic chops! But what was so interesting about the joke about him not winning an Oscar and Joey assuring him that he had is very relevant to Gary Oldman. He's one of those actors where your certain he has a bunch of them because he is so incredibly talented and has been around for a long time now, but in reality he didn't win his first Oscar until 2017 for Darkest Hour, which is crazy to me.
Anastassakis is actually Jennifer Aniston’s family name. She asked for it to be used in this episode.

Chandler’s dad is played by Kathleen Turner; she was pretty popular in the 80s and 90s. Years ago we were at a bed and breakfast in upstate NY, and we went downstairs to have breakfast, and who was sitting at our table? Kathleen Turner and her husband. We sat with them and chatted through breakfast. We never let on that we knew who she was because we were in the middle of nowhere, and we didn’t want to invade their privacy like that. But man, were they lovely to talk with. Very sweet and funny too.
