So at the start of the reaction Sofie says she can't imagine the bike and that she struggles to imagine anything really... later, she says she can perfectly (PERFECTLY) imagine Joey's drawing... hmmmmmmmmmm girl you dirtey
Two of my favorite episodes. There are so many moments in both that have stuck with me. The way Chandler acts when the neighbor wakes them up for candy, the way Joey slams into the guy and knocks him over to ask if he can have candy if he knows Monica’s name, and the entire Holiday Armadillo storyline are all amazing. Oh, and Rachel telling Joey to stop being a baby about the tarantula, and then him coming out of his room in his Superman outfit was 🤌🏻 😂
Cole Sprouse plays Ben. That could be why he’s familiar. Cole and Dylan Sprouse are twin actors and are pretty famous/recognizable! Even when they were younger they had some major roles. You could have seen them on “Big Daddy” movie or the suite life of Zack and Cody. Cole also was on riverdale tv show.
Big Daddy (starring Adam Sandler) had come out the year prior and was a big hit at the time, so when Cole Sprouse showed up on Friends, I instantly recognized him from that movie. I assumed that's how he got the role of Ben, since he had previous experience working on comedies. He was definitely the best child actor to play Ben.
The bike Phoebe describes is exactly like the bikes a lot of the kids grew up with lol she for once wasn’t being crazy. Me and all my friends had similar bikes at that age! A basket on the front, tassels coming off the handlebars, beads in the bike spokes!
The bike/candy episode is one of my faves! I love how Chandler mocks the guy who suggests Monica’s name is “Candy Lady”
I didn’t realize the subs were in French either lmaoo Does Sofie speak French??
yup
I hope Sofie watches Scream for Halloween, mostly for Gail of course.
Ross giving Phoebe a bike is the sweetest thing he does in the entire show, and is one of the many reasons I love Ross.
I feel like Ross and Phoebe have the least in common out of all the friends, so it's always fun when they have a storyline together.
I love that it is Joey who is terrified of the spiders, not Rachel, and how Rachel's liking spiders and having one as a kid actually goes against the stereotype of spoiled little daddy's princess image.
The first episode is such a good portrayal of codependence, overfunctioning in the hopes of getting validation and how childhood wounds still very much affect a person's adult life. And also, why overgiving make people around these kind and selfless people just mean and selfish and why is it important sometimes to make clear boundaries. Poor Monica. And Chandler was great sending home all those nasty neighbours. And speaking of childhood wounds, altough the common opinion is that Phoebe is put together and does not let her past affect her life, her abandonment issues come out in both episodes. First interpreting Ross letting her ride as abandonement and betrayal, and then interpreting Rachel liking to live with Joey as abandonment and betrayal.
"Richard used to do it, right?" Chandler asks this like somone who has no memory of spending a whole episode trying to learn that from Richard (in season 2, the Old Yeller One when he even grows a moustache to be more similar to him). So yeah. Richard did it. And Chandler practiced it to be more like Richard.
the boy playing Ben is one of the Sprouse twins who were on Disney channel
Did you ever watch The Suite Life of Zack & Cody? That's what the Ben actor is best known for.
man america needs to put friends back on netflix too 😫 (even though i have the dvd set) but when i’m in the car on a ride
