Steeple roaring back
Steeple will return in May with a new 2-parter. I've not been asked for a volume 4 from Dark Horse (also, I haven't pitched one) so I'll just be trickling stories out as and when inspiration strikes. Here's the cover for chapter 16.

is there a term for those comic book covers where disembodied heads of the characters are floating along the side or top left corner? I *love* those
Here my inspiration was DC Comics' "Hot Wheels", which is probably evident from the logo. I think it's a trope of humour comics of the era, and it works really well to establish characters in books where readers would be picking up perhaps a stray issue off a spinner rack.

Is it wrong that I now have a nice very hi res CCA logo I can stick on... everything? I should add that Steeple 16 features an appalling euphemism from Maggie that probably wouldn't be approved by anybody with a modicum of decency.

Dark Horse are fools! But it's more Steeple for us, so hooray!
Not sure why, maybe Dark Horse is waning? They could drop the issue into Kickstarter and easily exceed their publishing cost. Just checked KS, DH doesn't have a presence there. Guess their business model is to pick up successful Kickstarts and publish those.
