"A stranger comes to town, gets mixed up with a local girl.. then falls foul of the locals" It just occurred to me that this may be some epic meta-foreshadowing..

Lots of great work here. I'm loving it. Is it too "basic" of me to be hoping for more Penrose and Maggie after this issue? Some of those panels were making me blush.

Mag's parents live in Rock! Squee! That's walking distance from where I am on holiday right now.

Seconding Michael’s comment. This really is the best of both worlds — the instant gratification of wolfing down an issue at a time, and then the more relaxed pace of the daily IV drip letting me appreciate it panel by panel. (And happy Labour Day, fellow North Americans!)

I love getting the whole chapter at once and glomming it down immediately. Then I still read every day and enjoy it again (mostly because goldfish memory). Also, love the pov shifts in a lot of the frames and sequences. The dramatic close ups seem new too. And the color work and background screens really sparkle. Not sure if the overall color shift is supposed to indicate the magic on the town (like the bw to color shift in Wizard of Oz) but it really works that way.

I downloaded chapter 1 when it was released, but couldn't read it immediately and then forgot all together. So I'm getting a double dose now, and Johnny this story is SO GOOD!

I'm pacing myself reading, like sipping a fine wine. Oh go on then, maybe a small glass. Really enjoying it so far! (Is there somewhere other than here to point out typos? 'rescinded' on page 5 of the PDF for example)
