Read Author Unknown? part 1 in full, now
If you prefer to read it in webcomic form, or just want to comment as the pages go up, the story is running M-W-F at steeple.church for the next 14 weeks. Part 2 will arrive on Patreon on May 31st.
I was very careful when writing this story to make it accessible to anyone who didn't know my various comics, you can be the judge of whether I got the balance right. Please let me know in the comments if you enjoy it. I've been very excited to share this one.

Vay excellent!
I thought about absorbing this page by page, but it was too tempting to read the whole thing st once. Excellent work—I'll be on tenterhooks until Pt 2 comes out!
Once again, so much I love about this that I'll be pointing out as the pages release publicly....but the one thing I've gotta acknowledge now is how toy Tibkins' eyes were capable of closing as it lay on the abandoned signing table! Love it.
I was very pleased with that sleeping Tibkins. The question in my mind was, is it a doll or is it Tibkins "IRL"
Love it. Looking forward to the next!
Hm, so does referencing Ringo Starr mean that Shelley was able to get the Beatles sorted out while still with the Ministry? Or did someone else at the Ministry take care of it? Or did Ringo become big all on his own in the current timeline? (Or should we just wait for another Destroy History that we hope will be coming?) (Or should we just stop overthinking unimportant details of the continuity?) (Okay, yeah, it's the last one.)
Every one of those is a valid answer Brian. NEMS pt2 is in very early writing stages. A load of scribble and a hasty Word document. Could emerge late 2021, could be later depending on circumstances.
I enjoyed it. I very enjoyed it.
YOU! YOU!!!! Another masterpiece.
Is "You weren't here for the Hilary Mantel incident" the greatest clap-back in the history of comics clap-backs? I don't know, but I do know that I laughed for two solid minutes.
Yes! Bringing Shelley and Ms. Winters’ former protege, Lottie, to Steeple is kinda blowing my mind. Makes me want to lift Big Ken over there. Greased.
Remember to use your knees when lifting a greased Big Ken. I look forward to Big Ken's first appearance in Steeple. He runs the amusement arcade.
I nominate “Books not Buoys” for greatest self-reference of the ... new millennium? How long ago was that shirt anyway?
I think it's from 2010. A long time ago now!
SO. GOOD.
"Sorry not sorry"—Shel Best. Emergency protocol. Ever.
Thanks John! Chuffed to bits for more Doctor Ladysounds and Chibi Vampirella (still makes me chuckle).
I think she's stuck with that forever, or until Dynamite Comics sue me.
Thank you John!
