My face, huge on a screen
I did a video interview last week to assist my French publisher Akileos' Giant Days hardcover edition crowdfunder. I go into a few things much more deeply than I have elsewhere - you may find it interesting! If you can read French, and want more Giant Days hardcovers, take a look.

This is a delight! Thank you for sharing this.
I thought this was me for a second!?!?!
Well done
Thanks for this, John! I've been reading your comics for probably pushing 20 years, but had never even seen a picture of you (other than ones you've drawn), so this is really interesting, not only to hear what you're saying about the comics and character development etc - but also to hear it in your own voice. Lovely!
Just like a previous commenter, I now want to pull out Giant Days and start looking at the details of the art and how it evolved. Thanks for sharing this interview!
OMG, you are just so stinking cute! Not sure why we thought you were an old fart. My wife now just wants to hug you and your accent. Seriously though, Giant Days is our hands down favorite and while we have the Comixology full digital set, feel a little envious that the French get a full hardcover version.
I always like hearing you talk about your work. I mostly can't be bothered to listen to stuff or watch video so well done for enticing me. I'm sorry if that sounds sinister.
As someone who listens to and watches a lot of things, I'm waiting for the John Allison x Marc Ellerby podcast to be conceived
What a great interview John! It's made me want to go back and binge-read Giant Days again!
That was interesting. I liked the point about never ending with a character crying
It's one of my least favourite tropes, the Big Tear.
You are as adorable as your characters.
