Read Circus Windows pt 1 in full, now
As a $3-and-up subscriber, please enjoy (if you wish) the first 22-page half of my new Charlotte Grote story, "Circus Windows", downloadable as a PDF.
If you're a chronology fan, this story takes place a couple of months after Wicked Things, and two-and-a-half years after the end of Bad Machinery. If you prefer to read it in webcomic form, or just comment as the pages go up, it is running at badmachinery.com (because the old Scary Go Round site is collapsing around my ears).
God willing, lots more to come this year - both halves of Circus Windows, a Lottie-Steeple crossover, then new Steeple proper. I'm looking forward to telling these stories.
(As before, one request: please don't spoil the story for people reading the daily webcomic. I know you wouldn't, but if a naughty dog reads the comic over your shoulder, it might bark out all the surprises. Keep naughty dogs away from this PDF!)

just found my way back to this one. Thank you John! "Says here, Lanky Blonde and Chibi Vampirella are banned" !! omg, I snorted half-caff out my nose.
I'm excited to see part 2!
Dennis Franz?!?
Delightful. I look forward to part 2. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed it.
Great story as usual! Like a kid who's torn through Halloween treasures too quickly, I'm left both wanting more and partially regretting my haste. Just partially, though. Not that I or anyone should tell you what to do in a story, but just as a word of what I and a bunch of other folks I've spoken with would like, if part 2 had even an offhand mention of Sonny being happy somewhere with a boyfriend...it'd make a lot of peoples' day :)
Oh my, this is some A+ hijinks! A lot of special cameos as well! Tackleford is really hopping.
Cooooool!
Can anyone see this comment? It seems like my comments to patreon don't get posted.
What about my Rude Cat?
Excellent news, although a dagger in the heart of my plans to go to sleep as soon as I get my kid to bed.
Update: I lauged my ass off.
Thank you!
Looking forward to all the stories you'll tell this year! (and hoping that more Destroy History will be included)
"The alabaster hand of the clown." Now that's a damn fine piece of text.
Was the Scarygoroundverse spared the pandemic? Or has it passed, or is it to come?
I don't have the heart to draw the pandemic and never will
Yay, Mildew!
