GDxB trailer
I must have posted this Giant Days x Batman video before but it certainly bears a second airing. Created by reader Miguel Blanco, whose details come up at the end of the video. It's very strange to see my drawings animated like this - I think it's the only time its been done, and it makes me look at them in a completely different way. It was a real treat the day this arrived, it's great.
The original comic is still up to read for free webcomic-style online here or as a PDF for subscribers.

I just saw this for the first time, and it works so well that now I want to see your entire back catalogue animated.
That animation is so well done. Thanks for the treat, Miguel!
Hats off to Miguel Blanco and thanks for renewed hope in seeing Giant Days or any other Bobbinsverse title get an animated series in the future!
while that was INSANELY cool, I can't ever imagine this being an animated film because I'm sure to be completely disappointed by everyone's voices XD (on reflection I realise it's because I don't actually give them voices in my head, which... is a strange feeling)
This was mighty fine; kudos to Miguel Blanco, and, of course, to the author!
It would be really neat to see one of your works be adapted into animation one day
Superb, thanks for the post.
I don't think the importance of the voice actors can *possibly* be overemphasized.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh bravo!
No character spoke. This was a good call. I wonder how we could take voices that weren't the ones we hear in our heads when we read the original strips. It could be done: the "Master and Commander" film managed to capture Aubrey and Maturin better than I had thought possible. "Lackadaisy" attempts animation. My gut says it risks sliding from the unique portrait of prohibition America to a Hanna-Barbera spoof, but I keep my fingers crossed. This same gut also said having three packets of crisps for supper last night with the rest of the cooking sherry was a good idea, so don't trust it.
Cool!
Your art style lends itself beautifully to animation, John. I'd love to see more like this - fantastic job, Miguel! Although if Giant Days did become an animated series, it would look more like Max's work, wouldn't it? Which would be flipping incredible! Anyway, I loved this trailer.
I'd demand that they animated it to look like my drawings, to ensure its appeal remained niche (I suspect Lissa's drawings would lend best to animation - given her background - but who knows)
Vey cool!
Probably no one remembers this, but there was this Goddamn Batman meme running there for a while and I saw GDxB and kept trying to git "Goddamn Batman" into it before I was like: OK, Giant Days & Batman right right
I missed this, glad ya shared it again
Excellent stuff and it does make me wish for a Giant Days animated series. One can dream :D
That's what I came here to say! Miguel Blanco's done a grand job of animating John's work there, and if he ever did want to make a full length animation I'd happily pay good (and bad) money to see it.
