Sluice gates
When I sold an old iPad I found a folder of stuff it had saved to its internal storage in Clip Studio (before it could save to iCloud, thereby spoiing me ROTTEN). Most of it was rubbish but there were one or two interesting things that hopefully I have not posted before.
If I start to produce a "trapped" now, I book a holiday. Of course, groups of characters trapped together are a staple of sitcoms, which may tell you something about the state of mind of the people writing them.
Four cover roughs for BY NIGHT. I did covers for the first six issues. Never have I been more trapped than I was by this series. I genuinely think I'm still recovering from trying to squeeze it in to my schedule. TRAPPED! Nice covers though. I did like these characters. I wish I'd had an extra year to think about what they were going to do.
Some background material I produced for Julia Madrigal for Giant Days 38.

I really like that "The Case of the Missing Piece" cover.
Same!
By Night was so amazing I still mourn the fact there was no sequel. Hearing how rough it was to do for you makes it even more amazing that you did such an outstanding job on it!\
I really like By Night. When I suggested "The works of John Allison" as a potential Mastermind subject (they didn't accept it) I was hoping to answer a few By Night questions on tv in front of a confused, but ultimately enlightened, population
The BBC have a public service remit, yet they rejected that Mastermind subject? Shameful.
Ah, that "Music To Infinity" piece is so good!
If the T-shirt mood strikes again, “Music to Infinity” feels like a winner!
Oh John you've done it again!
For the record, I really liked the Wen-Tack kids, too.
Same here!
