Poll Results and a Retort to the guy who said my renders were "Unremarkable"...
I'm happy that for 91% of you the game makes you feel something. That means it is in fact connecting. However, someone had to do one of those compliment but I'll throw in a criticism about the images posts (...and yes I took that personally).
To explain it again. The game was started on a 1070ti. So that's the quality of the images for the game. As I told him in my reply if you read it. The images get consistently better as has my mastery of doing them and Daz 3D itself does. But, they will always be limited for One Day at a Time because of the amount of samples/iterations used in the game when I started it that I continue to use for continuity even with much better hardware now.
As far a my not being able to do "Remarkable" renders, the images attached beg to disagree with this person. As far as the Animations, I'm hoping the next update with the Blender ones will get that monkey off my back.
I probably shouldn't be getting this emotional about the matter, but I know my level of skill and to be told I'm not good at renders pissed me off! Maybe I shouldn't share emotional polls like that or just not allow comments on them, IDK, that's the reason I cut the poll short though. But again, the attached images are my answer to this person, and the images in the next game will be closer to these. They are also my gift to all who participated in the poll. Hopefully the 4 people the game hasn't reached yet it will in the future!
Over and out! Cheers!

Zoey, you need assurance. I seen again and again. Man up! Look this is going to piss you off. I don't care. Every couple months you need assurance. MANUP! NO ONE WILL SPEAKE TO YOU! I will. Lately it's been to stop writing. Your a fucking iodot! You started talking about ending lines. And starting new VNs. That's fine. WHAT PISSES ME OFF MOST...-Thh inability to go further. With the mass amount of text in the game shows me. I know AA, NA, CA and Aalon. I'm going to say it again. OD. IS Your bread and butter. I have a lot more to say... be pissed at me...
I'm not sure I understand about half of what you said. As far as manning up. We don't do the program like that where I live. We talk about our emotions and don't do the take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth thing. I've seen a lot of those hard ass recovery types relapse and die. My sponsor who passed away was a bit like that. But, he knew I didn't respond to it, so he didn't do that with me. It ended up killing him though. Not sure what you're talking about with "stop writing" or "start a new AVN and not going far enough". It's my goal to have a new game going by the time this one ends so my content streams doesn't get interrupted. I'm not pissed off at you in the slightest. But, I also don't think I need to man up either. I like my vulnerability and willingness to share. It makes me a stronger person not a weaker one. I know what you're trying to do though Doc, and it's appreciated. I know it comes from a good place.
Those who can, do! Those who can't do, teach! Those who can't teach, whine and niggle.
It's going to be subjective. Image quality matters, but the art style and content is even more important, for 'good' (subjective to a degree) images I don't think hardware is as important as it's often made out to be. Otherwise, I think it's unhealthy on the long term to only consider positive comments 'worthy' and stay in that bubble, look at our society and what social media did - not the place to go into details but the huge political divide is due to bubbles and people being surprised and offended if they - relatively rarely - meet someone that disagrees completely (even the thought is alien that someone could not like us, i mean everyone does... right?). Also comments may be made by people that aren't professionals, it doesn't invalidate their opinion but it will not be as detailed as a professor would make it. I enjoy your renders (and not only) but I also don't think they necessarily are the best I ever seen, but that's not something to expect from every single developer either, there's going to be a variation, thank goodness. Th financial support, not worth going into it, i myself prefer tiny amounts (1-2$) on SS (i closed down everything i had on patreon) for 10-20 devs in parallel over a year or even better, buy a completed product if available outside of steam (which should be the de facto way if this was a healthy market).
Uhh... I agree with a lot of things you say and disagree with some. You put something extremely personal to you into the world, that's gonna stay extremely personal for most people when it comes to art. Also a couple of other things. I didn't solicit opinions, in that last post. I asked a simple yes or no question. If anyone doesn't like any aspect of the game that's fine. That's your opinion. But it's not really close to the question I asked to be honest. Also criticism is a lot easier to take when a person explains or gives examples as to why they don't like something (again if an opinion was actually solicited). I agree to disagree with people all of the time. I have other artists I share my work with and get feedback and suggestions from (some of them who actually went to art school). So, I get professional opinions, and while images are subject. There are objective things within art that can be discussed. That's what we do and how we give each other feedback. There's a whole discord of developers, and believe me. It's not a dick stroking festival. You as for an honest opinion you get one (good or bad). As far as politics go, I could care less what someone's is. But, in the same breathe. This isn't a forum for that. So, I appreciate the fact you didn't go into it.
I've played a LOT of AVNs. I'm not into the whole 'X is better than Y' thing that seems to pervade the internet. Your renders look fantastic. Lighting. Poses. Facial expressions. I know quite a few creative people who find it difficult to truly feel pride in their work - my daughter is one of them. Perfectionists are always chasing the impossible, all the while creating the exceptional. Constructive criticism CAN sometimes either push or lead you to the next level. But it's also not common. Accept the praise. Ignore the trolls. Express yourself. People talk about 'the meaning of life'. I believe creative expression is it. Everything else is just existing.
Thank you for saying that, he did make a lot of nice comments other than that about the game. I just honestly think people on the internet don't think before they say stuff sometimes. He's just a follower and not a patron anyway, and while I care about all of you. It would have made more of a difference to me if he was a paid member. Lol
Did he offer examples of renders to rival yours? Ass-hats are sadly going to annoy us from time to time, honestly I think you are an amazing artist! Thank you for all your hard work!
No he didn't, but he doesn't have to. I know some of the best daz artists and they think my work is excellent. They also recognize I'm limited in the current game because of the way I started it. But, I know the best dudes out there and I'd put my work right up against theirs.
