OSW Update! Jan 11th

Well helllllooooooooo!
And happy new year +10 days to you :D Here's what's going down in Groovestown:
• Ireland is in Lockdown :( Like super-scary lockdown with Garda checkpoints everywhere (even have Robogarda doing the rounds!) so we can't record together at the moment. I'm hoping this eases up in Feb. Buuuut...
• Good news is there's several vids in production! We're busy beavering away at other OSW vids; such as V1's Journey of Wrestling videogame review, OOC wrestling book reviews and I reviewed the new Partridge series! That last one will be out this weekend! Update: out on NoggerU now, public on YouTube soon!
• Voting for the Golden Noggers will start next week! V1 is finishing up collating the nominations and i'm creating the html so when that's all ready we'll open it out for ye :)
Because of the unique (or quite unique) format of the Golden Noggers, production on the video has already begun! Stuff like sorting new animated backgrounds. The hope is to have as much video done before we record the show (early Feb) so it'll be a shorter post-production time.
• Why not Skype/Zoom record episodes? Part of what adds to OSW's charm is that you can tell we record in person, physically being together makes for a more fun atmosphere. I did test the waters with our review of Cowboy Bret Hart in Lonesome Dove and although it's alright, i'm not hugely keen on it. Since recording a podcast is only a few hours out of a few hundred hours of the production, i'd rather get it right. But we'll see how things are in a few weeks whether we'll have to bite the bullet!
• When are you announcing the new arc? We haven't decided on one yet but there's no point until we're actually close to recording it! But we'll make a big hullaballoo asking for suggestions in a thread/youtube video so we can keep all the suggestions there and see what people like. It's so nice to have gotten the New Gen Arc done and dusted, those pre-show and PPV reviews were turning into a behemoth! OSW96-97 were over 3 and a half hours! I'm so proud of em :)

• Next weekend: Golden Noggers voting
• Future reviews in the next few weeks: OOC wrestling book review
• also V1's Journey of Wrestling videogame review
• Feb: Golden Noggers video
• Then a film review with OOC's choice!
• Then a fresh new OSW arc!
Final thing -- lots of people have been messaging me that they've been shotgunning OSW episodes, that's so awesome! If u've finished all of em, might I suggest our NoggerU film reviews and playlist videos? Not all of 'em are public yet, incl. The Rock & Stiffler's Southland Tales, Jurassic Park, and Alien 1 & 2! I'd love to see you guys go back to where you sorta left off with WCW in the mid-90's and cover when Hogan went Hollywood and the formation of the NWO. That or the WCW/ECW Invasion from "King of The Ring 2001" to "Survivor Series 2001" (One cause I distinctly remember watching that train wreck and I wanna see mah boys talk about the Kurt Angle and Shane McMahon Street Fight) Only other arc I can think of at the moment I'd love to see you cover is the first story arc I remember seeing in WWE back in '98-'99, "The Attitude Era" from "Wrestlemania XIV" to "Wrestlemania XV".
So we've done Hulkamania, ECW, WCW The Dungeon of Doom Years, Peak Attitude Era, Russo Era WCW, Russo Era TNA, and The New Gen...Oh please no....NOT THE RUTHLESS AGGRESSION ERA! I can't do it, I CAN'T DO IT YOU GUYS! Blandy Boreton, Dave Boretista, The Lame and his reign of terror, Cena's super jorts! I stopped watching WWE for 10 years because of that shit. Please prove me wrong. I'd rather watch the Chyna porn career story arc than that.
Spice world! Can't wait for the Partridge review! Absolutely loved the series, had me pissing myself laughing, and I'm sure this will too!

Interested to hear your thoughts on the new Partridge series, I feel a lot of people that don’t like it are comparing it to KMKY and IAP which is understandable but I feel unfair as those 3 seasons are comedy gold and his best work but I still like This Time, Mid Morning Matters and the movie. Whilst I have liked those projects I still think it’s maybe best Partridge is rested until Coogan can work with Armando Iannucci again. Sorry for the loaded comment but as you can tell I’m a big fan of Partridge, I like David Copperfield too but not as much as Partridge though. Also thanks for the constant entertainment during an absolutely horrid time and give my thanks to V1 and OOC as well.

It breaks my Hart that Mo is likely to get Lifetime Achievement instead of Bruce. Guess he'll just have something new to be bitter about.
