October 2023 Preview: The rise of the dunes!

In today's preview you can see the first set of miniatures coming to Highlands Miniatures for the Eternal Dynasties -our ancient egyptian themed undeads- this October 2023.
Yes! A new massive set of undead miniatures designed to quickstart your fantasy army in the best way possible. Get ready for the spookiest season of all!
But first, a few words from Ramon:
As many of you know, here in Highlands Miniatures we are very fond of the undead themes and it is already a tradition to work on these spooky enemies every October or as we call it here, Spooktober. But this month it is going to be even more special as it will be based on the Ancient Egypt.
Since I was a kid I have been in love with Ancient Egypt and the history that surrounds that period. Pharaohs, mummies, curses... I even wanted to become an archaeologist after watching the movie The Mummy and after playing with the Egyptians in the Age of Mythology games!
So, in order to design these miniatures we went -as always- to our favourite historical illustrators and books to identify the key design elements that were found in the Ancient Egypt. We also took inspiration from the films and games mentioned above.
The rounded long shields, bracelets and egyptian hats play a key part in the design of the miniatures as the rest of the armour was mainly composed of leather and clothes, now long gone for these dusty skeletons.
All these miniatures come as single pieces. The shields come separated from the miniatures.
We are working on a huge set of miniatures for this October so... stay tuned for more!

They look so awesone Oo. Cant wait to print them. Did you plan to release some characters and Tomb Guard too ?
What I think is fun about this army is that it can be relatively grounded (as much as living skeletons can be!) just undead Egyptians all the way to living statues, walking monuments, giant skeletons, and so on. Good design.
Will you be adding to these at a later date ?

Great designs but aren't the khopeshes held backward ? I thought they were used as axes, the curve side only allow you to grab a shield.
You're right - The sharp side is on the other line. :)

Looking amazing! I have a small Khemri army in the attic, now I can finally finish it. Would love to see your rendition of the more exotic units, like scorpion, vultures, Ushabtis and catapult.

I already printed a whole Tomb King army by meshmixing from 4 other patreons/kickstarters. I am going to throw them out and just print these guys to replace them. Great work, and please can we have some more Egyption Undead releases after this one?

Very nice figures. I love that you are keeping the older GW aesthetic alive but with the quality we see in newer miniatures.

Looks fantastic... but last week I *just* finished painting 90 Tomb Kings skeletons for my Kings of War army! Grr! Cleaning mold lines off of old GW Tomb Kings is the _worst_.

I have waited like a little kid waits for Christmas for this release. Tomb Kings have long been one of my favourite armies, really only second to Dwarves. I’m well aware my expectations have grown to unreasonable heights but as always, you rise up to any challenge. These models are amazing!!! Love everything about them. Knowing we’ll also get Cavalry AND chariots!?! I am so happy right now. Next month will be very print heavy. My hordes of Tomb Kings will finally become a reality! Love it! Can’t wait for more. Thank you!

So you are saying I am about to print second undead army? This time egyptian themed. Well my printer is repaired and my body is ready. I just need to take like... A year break from work to paint all this stuff haha
