January 2023 Release: the Swamp Goblins Vol. 1!

We have created this post to summarize this January 2023 Release in Highlands Miniatures, the beginning of our new fantasy race, the first release of the mischievous Swamp Goblins! It has been an amazing release to work on… and quite big too!
Remember guys, this January 2023 Release will be composed of:
Seven (7) Swamp Goblins with Pikes
Seven (7) Alternative Swamp Goblins with hand weapons
Three (3) Swamp Goblins with Pikes Command Group
Seven (7) Swamp Goblins Archers
Three (3) Swamp Goblins Archers Command Group
One (1) Swamp Goblin Boss
All the files are now ready to download from the Drive Archive. In the preview images you can see a big bunch of printed examples right from our Elegoo Saturn and printed with Siraya Tech ABS Like Navy Grey.
As always, after the month ends, we will send the files through our MyMiniFactory store to your patron emails. Remember to redeem the files and link them to your MMF account because after the month ends, the files will be removed from the Drive Archive!
We know... we know that some of you were a bit angry because of the evil actions of the Goblin Boss but don't worry, the Sons of Ymir will be vindicated this February 2023, for an amazing new release of our favourite fantasy race!
Also remember that you still have time to participate in the Christmas Painting Competition.

Am I missing something? I can’t seem to find the files for the alternative goblins with hand weapons and nets
Hi Thomas! The files are right there, inside the Google Drive folder, in two separated zips for the presupported and unsupported Swamp Goblins with Hand Weapons. Have you tried to refresh your browser, or to try to access Google Drive from another browser? :)
I wish we could see the ogres you started last year finished. Ive got 2 units just sitting, waiting for their friends.

Long time Goblin player signed up to the patreon for these awesome minis. Question with regards to printing them am I right in saying the scale is about 32mm? I'm wondering if I need to scale them down to fit in with my existing army? P.S. can't wait to see more goblin minis on their way :)

stunning release, great design you are going with. Could I suggest to give the next ones a bit less muscles, imho the arms are a bit too muscular, I think thinner more lanky arms would benefit the overall design of these a lot :) Especially the Boss has Ork level muscles, I can see he does a lot of workout
Thank you Gabron! haha aside from what we said in Facebook, the true reason is a more practical one. Due to the really small size of these miniatures we have to make every muscle quite pronounced in order to be cleary visible after printing and to be easy and fun to paint, giving enough room to add shadows and highlights to the skin.
These goblins have tremendous charm. However, you say they are armed with pikes, but they are obviously halberds, and I want them to be one-handed spears used with shields.
Glad you like them! You can always cut the top of the weapon and replace it by any other weapon you want :)

That is correct Darcy! The Cave Goblins will have their own core units with spears and bows! 🎊
