New Fantasy Race Reveal: the Goblin Tribes!
...Far from any mankind land, lie the Goblin Tribes...
The day has finally arrived. We are incredible excited to show you the fantasy army that will come to Highlands Miniatures in 2023 alongside the Sons of Ymir. Please, give a warm welcome to the Goblin Tribes!
The Goblin Tribes will be composed of two different factions: Swamp Goblins and Cave Goblins. Today we can see some of the very first miniatures for one of these factions, the Swamp Goblins.
"The Swamp Goblins have inhabited for centuries the dark and leafy Cursed Forest -close to the borders of Thrym-Heim and the dwarf realm of the Three Peaks - where life is afraid to go-, in the borders and ruinous remains of castles and fortresses, now abandoned, that lived a brighter time under the rule of the Sons of Ymir many centuries ago.
This goblin tribe is known for the blood-red colour of their pointy hats and hoods. They get that colour from submerging them into their enemy鈥檚 blood, one of the most horrendous visions that can be observed. The more intense is the red from their hoods the higher rank the goblin wearing it has..."
The Swamp Goblins command group is composed of three (3) mischievous goblins: a captain goblin, a funky team of goblins as musician and the carrier of the emblem of the Green One, the God of the Swamp.
The core set of miniatures for these Swamp Goblins are seven (7) Swamp Goblin miniatures with rusty pike-axes and broken wooden shields. These miniatures aren't modular.
The first set of miniatures for the Goblin Tribes: the Swamp Goblins will come this next January 2023 to Highlands Miniatures.
Do you want to know more about the Swamp Goblins? Stay tuned for an in deep post about these mischievous race coming soon!
Finally, to celebrate the announcement of the new fantasy army, we are launching a hero Goblin Leader mounted on a Feral Monster in Kickstarter a campaign for just one pound (1拢), to reach as many fantasy goblin players as we can and spread the green-news!

Again with the aweso.e stuff! I desperately want you to keep going with the varyags, and I'd love to see your versions of elves. All of em. Wood, high and dark! Keep it up!
They look nice. Are you ever going to finish the ogre range?
Yes. Gobos!
The looks stunning. I had hoped really for Orcs and not goblins...but i still will print them XD
I came for the Undead in October ... but I'm staying for the Goblins!
Came for the dwarfs, only really wanted them. But now... now I'll have to keep supporting you untill further notice. Cant wait for your take on the different type of trolls. The old night goblins + stonetrolls were my very first minis, so now you have gotten me nostalgic! I am absolutely loving the aesthetics!!!
I think these goblins are a great step forward in showing your progress in sculpting faces. Your sculpts are getting better and better, but I think some of your dwarf faces of each unit look very similar, as in one slayer's face looks very much like another's. Scibor miniatures makes some of the best sculpts of dwarf faces, if you need some inspiration. These goblins look very good. Did they steal the halberds? They seem too good to come from goblins.
Hi, what about dwarven gyrobombers? Or maybe Ram/Bear riders, or some golems? Are The Dwarven army finished? Or Rangers?
Hi Piotr! No, the Sons of Ymir aren't finished yet! :) As we have said many times, we will continue working on the Sons of Ymir along this 2023 :)
Yes, that was the best possible outcome. So few good gobbos on the market as of now. :D
Glad you like them Godzie! The best match against our Sons of Ymir.. some mischievous goblins! :P

Thank you for your support, glad you like the new fantasy race! 鉂わ笍
Tbh as a person just for dwarves here, I hate that I will need to check each month if there are any or to stop being a patron for a day. Especially that the esthetics of those goblins are not in my taste

Greenskins!
Yay!
YES!!!
Beautiful. Atleast as good, maybe even better than the newest GW ones. Only remark are the halberds, spears would have been easier. I especially looking forward to the different trolls. That will be fantastic to paint.
supercool, i looooove goblins!!
oh great! Thanks a lot 馃グ
Awesome!
馃檶馃従馃馃徑
That's a dream come true ! Just as my Greenskins needs more gobbos, and especially some gobbo leader... Well, guess i'm gonna paint some more green !
Thank you very much Alexandre!! We wanted to create a Goblin army for a long long time and there is no better time than now, to fight against our mighty Sons of Ymir!
Ooh. The Green Man as their god implies they鈥檙e not evil/mindlessly destructive. I like it. Will they be all-male/genderless or have dimorphism for some units?
Glad you like them Thannak! Our original idea for these goblins is to be genderless, or at least unable to recognize a male or female by their physic, as it would be hard to sculpt them in a different way, but it could be cool to give it a try!
Omg they're so CUTE
haha thank you very much Thomas! We wanted to bring some of the old fairytale aesthetic to these miniatures!
Very nice, orks would have even been nicer 馃槈
Who knows what will happen in 2023.. :P
