Spooktober 5th preview: Bring out your deads!
Good evening guys,
Here we are again to show you the 5th preview (yes, the fifth!) of this insane and spooky upcoming October 2022 Release in Highlands Miniatures: the Corpse Cart! 馃拃馃巸
About the Corpse Cart
We couldn't let this opportunity go away without paying a tribute to Eric Idle from Monty Python and one of the greatest sketches of all, the "Bring out your dead" from Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie. You can see him leading the chariot, spear in hand, ringing the bell -that signifies the death knell of the world-, announcing the arrival of the Corpse Cart.
The desing of the chariot, including the main structure, the wooden stakes and so on, is based on a medieval spanish peasant chariot still in use in the fields of the northwest of Spain, a "holy" land called Galicia. This chariot is called there "carro galego" and you can see the main reference if you CLICK HERE.
Finally, we have included a reference to the Triumph of the Dead by Pieter Bruegel in the back of the chariot, a skeleton dragging the corpse of a lady to the chariot of the deads. This reference was suggested by one of our patrons in the discord server and we though it would be great to add something from the painting to the miniature!
Remember, the October 2022 Release will be composed of:
Four (4) Mounted Skeleton Core Miniatures
Three (3) Mounted Skeleton Command Group
Five (5) Undead Horses
Six (6) Skeleton Warriors Core Miniatures
Three (3) Skeleton Warriors Command Group
Seven (7) Ghouls Miniatures
The Corpse Cart
Halloween Event Surprise Miniature
Also, our new fantasy Dwarf Army, the Sons of Ymir will also have an incredible unit composed of:
Five (5) Dwarf Mercenary Pikemen Core Miniatures
Three (3) Dwarf Mercenary Pikemen Command Group
We will announce this unit next Monday, so stay tuned!

Damn October is looking sweet
Am I the only one who thinks the skeletons collecting bodies to make zombies is funny? Like, the necromancer looks like he鈥檚 in a uniform instead of a crazy homeless wizard. Its like community service, bad skeletons get zombie community outreach.
Vaya guapada, este mes me est谩 encantando todo!!!!
Muchas gracias Alberto, me alegro que te gusten!! :)
Ooh, I love the undead oxen! Can't believe I haven't seen something like that before. I think the polearm with the torso on it looks a bit much though, but that would be an easy conversion.
Cool. Yes, the polearm is a little big. Strong man-thing.
"I feeeel haaapyyyyyy" *BOINK*
"Bring out ya dead" was exactly what I said to myself before I read what you wrote haha. "I'm not dead yet!"
one of the best sketches from that movie for sure!! I think I have something to watch again tonight :P
Traeeeeed a vuestros mueeeertooos!!!!
Uno de los mejores sketches sin duda alguna!!
This corpse cart makes me want to start my vampires again... And I thought I was only here for the empire minis...
Glad you like it Fuxxx, we have been working really hard these weeks to bring an amazing October release for Halloween! :)
