We have created this post to summarize this August 2022 Release in Highlands Miniatures: Dwarfs, Sons of Ymir Vol. 2.
This month we have been developing our new fantasy Dwarf Army that we recently started in July. This has been another big month in term of STL files, with more than thirty-four (34) files. Yes, you have heard it right, thirty-four!
This month we have also unlocked the 1500 Patreon Goal: five (5) Sunland Swordsmen Reinforcement miniatures. You can find these free miniatures in the Drive folder along with the August 2022 Release. Thanks to all the patrons for make it possible. Now let’s work for the next one!
We have also updated the Welcome Pack to showcase the variety of miniatures and fantasy races available here in Highlands Miniatures for all newcomers and patrons. Don’t forget to download them as they won’t be shared through MyMiniFactory!
Remember guys, the August 2022 Release is composed of:

All the files are now ready to download from the Drive Archive. In the preview images you can see some printed examples of the miniatures.
As always, after the month ends, we will send the files through our MyMiniFactory store to your patron emails. Remember to redeem the files and link them to your MMF account because after the month ends, the files will be removed from the Drive Archive!

I love this set so much. Miners are my fave and I like your sculpts better than the ones that came with “battle for skulls pass”!!! But if you’re reading this please make a model with a steam drill. It’s a necessary piece for an 8th edition miner unit! And it’s also sort of rare on eBay etc.

Hi Randolph, Thank you for your comment, we are glad you like our miniatures! We still have many human armies to do from other factions and realms, and for the dwarfs we will have work to do at least till mid 2023 but... another fantasy army, the enemies of the Sons of Ymir, is on its way... soon! :)
Hello Highland Team, have there (unfortunately) also a few questions: 1) Your creations I have unfortunately discovered only in August and also registered directly. With the dwarfs, however, you have already started in July and I am therefore missing exactly these parts in the downloads. Is there a way to get these subsequently unlocked? I would be happy to pay for July retroactively. It should not be because of that! 2) I would also be interested in long muskets (for snipers). If necessary, I have to convert the models themselves or could you offer this optional? 3) What about the arcanauts and airships from AoS? Will there also be a fancy counterpart from you? About your questions: 1) You can find any of our previous releases, including the July 2022 Release, available for purchase in our MyMiniFactory store. Also, as a patron you have a 50% discount code to get anything you want from there: https://www.patreon.com/posts/44408103 2) Dwarf snipers? Right now we don't have plans to do an unit of that kind, maybe a hero miniature with a long rifle but it isn't in our plans right now. 3) Our idea of the Sons of Ymir is a very classical and norse influenced fantasy army that must fit within our fantasy setting and universe, so we are not sure how that kind of miniatures could fit within the army, but we will see! I have a peculiar question. Would you consider making Dwarf Pikemen/spearmen or adding spear hands to one of sets? I already made regiments of warriors and damn, these are good looking bois

Anyone found a scale issue with the models? I literally 5 minutes ago supported and downloaded the artillery crew (cant find the machines yet) and the crew seem enormous
Hi Tom, There isn't any issue with the scale. All our range of miniatures are in 32mm heroic scale. If you want to print them at 28mm heroic scale, you have to scale them down and print them at 86%-88%. :)
The patreon goal cant be unzipped for me. it says its a damaged file. Any advice?
Hi there! We have checked the file and everything seems fine. We recommend you to download it again as it is probably a download issue.

Apart from the quality of the sculpts which is amazing, would you mind sharing what printer/resin was used? These prints look absolutely mint!
Thank you very much Sotirios! Of course, we use an original Elegoo Saturn and Siraya Tech ABS-like Navy Grey, 0.03 layer height, 2.5s for exposure time and 35s for bottom exposure time :)
