August Release Third Preview: Dwarf Old Siege Engines!
Good evening guys! 🪓🪓
Quick post today to show you the third and final preview of the upcoming August 2022 Release, the Dwarf Old Siege Engines!
In the preview images you can see the Dwarf Catapult that comes split in several pieces, the Dwarf Ballista and the four (4) Dwarf Old Siege Engines Crew miniatures.
"...the Old Siege Engines have known many battles and have faced the horror of the war and the inclement of the weather, weakening the wood and the rusty metal that was shinny once. But they still do the work... Another proof of the magnifecent skills of the dwarfs creating heavy machines to make the war..."
We've tried to bring some norse elements to the old siege engines, like the curved corners or the dragon head in the dwarf catapult, in the same line as the old viking ships where finished in both sides of the ship.
The wood and the ropes are also a predominant element in both machines. We've tried to achieve that "old hand-made wooden" look and we are very happy with the results!
Remember, the upcoming August 2022 Release will be composed of:
8x Dwarfs Veterans Core Miniature with big axes and shields
3x Dwarfs Veterans Command Group
5x Dwarfs Miners Core Miniatures with two handed picks
3x Dwarfs Miners Command Group
1x Dwarf Catapult
1x Dwarf Ballista
4x Dwarf Old Siege Engines Crew miniatures
Did you miss the Dwarf Veterans or the Dwarf Miners showcase we did last weeks? Check them out HERE and HERE

I can’t wait any longer. I’m having an anxiety attack from waiting…
You won't have to wait any longer! The files are being uploaded right now and will be available to download in a couple of hours!
Usually its the 11-15th of the month due to Atlas, the company that does the supports
Any idea when these downloads will be available?
Hi Stratos. The files are being presupported and will be available as soon as we receive and test the files, usually by the end of the second week of the month (15th). :)
Nice! I can already see it painted. Are you planning to make cannons, hammerers, iron breakers, slayers too? Would you consider making an iron breaker champion with this helmet? https://azazelx.com/2019/10/09/whfb-dwarf-lord-with-2-handed-axe-colin-dixon-2000s-neglected-orc-slayer-tober-19/
I really hate to be 'that guy' but wouldn't the counterweight hit the dragon head as the throwing arm rotates?
The dwarfs designed it to avoid a full complete swing, using the nose of the dragon as a counterweight stop. 👀
Dwarfs are looking great. Will be adding them to my fantasy army.Im hopeing you bring out some Elves out too.
Yet another masterpiece, DaVinci!
Thank you very much Darren, glad you like them!! :)
So good cant wait to get these on the printer
Thank you James! We really want to see these miniatures printed! :)
Wow, another homerun! Cant wait to see the big guns too!
Thank you Christ, glad you like them! We will have to think a lot about how to design the big guns but we hope to make a nice work with them! :)
These dwarves just get better and better! :D
Thank you very much Niels, glad you like them!!
Epic!
Thank you Karsten, glad you like them!! :D
Looks great..but..The Dwarves are a proud and ancient rase. Respect their elders and all that is old and good. Therefore i think they would not let the shield on the bolt thrower get so "beat up", damaged..look shabby. This is what the Gobos do..😉
hahaha Thank you Marko! Come on! These old machines have known many battles under inclement weather and are made of wood. My shoes look worst after a couple of months and I just walk around the city! :P
Will there be some Lord, especially a Lord on Shield, an option?
Of course, we will create a few heroes for the Dwarf Army in the future!
This is by far my favorite of all your releases. I'm super excited for more. Any chance we can get ram riders?
Thank you Josh, glad you like them! Eventually everything will come to the Dwarf Army, including units that aren't usally seen in fantasy armies, like Dwarf Pikemen or Dwarf Cavalry! :)
Perfection again :)
Thank you very much Martin! Glad you like them! :)
Is that a catapult or a trebuchet? Looks like a trebuchet. And man, it looks nice!!! Great work!
Thank you Nicholas! "Technically is a trebuchet" but that is a human word used in Gallia and Sunland, the Sons of Ymir don't have that word in their vocabulary :P Glad you like them!
