The Landsknechts of Soltau: first look at the September Release!
Good evening guys! ⚔️⚔️
Hope you have spent a lovely summer, taken some rest and breath! Can't believe it's actually September, we've already the Earth, Wind and Fire song ready in our heads, dammit!
As every month, we wanted to show you what to expect (when you're expecting! sorry Monday humour) this September Release! You already know by the last poll that is something about sword masters, two-handed swords and so on, right? Well, here you have a small bite of aperitive!
☀️ The Landsknechts of Soltau ☀️
The Landsknechts of Soltau is going to be the first unit of this September 2021 Release, and it is going to be huge! The unit will be composed of 9 male landsknechts with two-handed swords (Zweihänder), 2 female landsknechts and the command group with captain, bannerman and musician. A total of 14 miniatures just for this classic renaissance unit, with 17 modular heads!
But there is more! In a few days you'll know what is going to be the second part of this September Release. The only thing we can say about is... Regis Ultima Ratio! 💣
Honestly this week we haven't had as much time as we'd like to work, we finally have been able to see our family after a year, and they came to spend a few days at home! We really needed it. So sorry for the inconvenience guys.
We'll have the rest of the core unit in a few days so you can expect another post by the end of the week showing the entire unit!
Hope you like it guys! We ready you as always! ❤️

Printer ready !!!
Will there be weapon options beyond two handed swords?
Hi Jackson! No, the miniatures will come with the weapon attached to the main body. Maybe in the future we could create an alternative version with halberds. :)
This is what I signed up for! Im gonna print the shit out of these files.
haha thank you Michael!! You'll have a lot of landsknetchs to print! :D
Can anyone Suggest a good program to get started with designing figures
If you want to create miniatures, you should use a sculpting software, like Blender (free) or Zbrush. In our case we use Zbrush to create our miniatures :)
Cannons make boom!
Amazing ❤️
Thank you very much Johan! :D
Regis Ultima Ratio… so goodbye Nilfgaard, hello Spain. :) (Did it know for longer, but hope dies at last, doesn’t it?) It going to be a blast, nevertheless. :D
Well... Spain is not coming yet, but it will come for sure! That motto is for another thing... We'll let you know very soon! :D
Amazing models
Thank you Stuart!
Wow!
Wow, looks fantastic!
Thank you very much Mike! :D

These look great, and looking forward to seeing the changeable heads. Realistically, in a real Landsknecht unit of the period, pike and halberd men would FAR outnumber the Zweihanders, and for you customers who want to make historical Landsknecht units (on the march with pikes and hallberds shouldered), as well as fantasy ones, it would be great if you could make alternate arms for pikes and halberds to go with these figures -- or make these types of figures in the future.
For the pikemen we're waitting to create the fearless Tercios! But yeah, it is also a cool idea to create another version of these Landsknecht with halberds. Probably we'll implement it as the next Patreon goal: an alternative version with halberds if we hit the next amount of Patrons. Thank you for the suggestions!
They look great. Glad that you were able to spend some time with the family (finally). Hope things are able to continue to ease up for you there too.
Thank you very much Mazuri! Yes, after a long year it has been great to spend some time with family!
Those look incredible! I can't wait to print these 😁
Thank you Anthony, glad you like them!! :D
zwiehanders look awesome, hmm - last resort: got me im thinking either an elite bodyguard, or a forlorn hope type unit, - either would be good!
Its also the motto of the Belgian artillery regiment
Modular heads and big swords. I really like these guys. I appreciate how functional your armor looks.
Thank you very much Mike!! So happy to hear it :D
They look fantastic as always. Any chance of getting headless versions for swaps/undeadification?
Thank you Matt!! Almost all the miniatures will come without head (as the previous Sunland release), so you'll be able to use any of the current and previous heads from the entire range of Sunland miniatures. :D
Looks absolutely fantastic as always. Really happy to see some flamberges and zweihanders mixed in. The kings last resort, huh? So many things that could mean!
Also, never apologise for prioritising family. We only get the one, we'd be foolish to waste the time we have with them 😁
