October approaches. The air grows colder, the nights darker, and something ancient stirs beneath the earth. And from the mist, the dead begin to march once more…

Spooktober is coming to Highlands Miniatures. 💀

This October, the gates will open to a month of Undead Horrors, necromancy, restless spirits and things that should have stayed buried.

The October 2026 set of miniatures will be composed by:

• 5x Undead Wolves

• 1x Rasputin the Necromancer (hero miniature)

• 1x Ghoul King (hero miniature)

• 2x Sorrow Banshees (hero miniature)

• 1x Mounted Skeletal Lord - Battle Standard Bearer option - (hero miniature)

• 1x Dismounted Skeletal Lord -Battle Standard Bearer option - (hero miniature)

• 6x Dark Knights -updated-

• 3x Dark Knights Command Group -updated-

• 4x Dark Knights Steeds -updated-

It's been six incredible years since we sculpted the Dark Knights as our first cavalry unit for our new -at the time- undead range of miniatures.

Today we are pleased to unveil the completely refreshed Dark Knights miniatures coming to Highlands Miniatures this October 2026.

We believe the images -old and new- speak for themselves. Six years of continuous learning, improving, focusing on creating the best fantasy miniatures available in the market. While we still have a long way to go, we are grateful for these years and we acknowledge how much we have grown and change over this time.

The trap with undead cavalry is to make it look like a mob of loose bones on a dead horse. That is a ruin, not a regiment, and it does not hold a line. What has rotted away is everything soft -the flesh, the horsehide, the banners- and what remains is plate, mail and bone.

What's Next?

There is one miniature remaining to be seen. We are currently working on the dismounted Skeletal Lord BSB. It will be previewed later this week so stay tuned!
