October 2026 Preview: Undead Horrors!
Undead Horrors
Our favourite time of the year is coming! 🎃
October approaches. The air grows colder, the nights darker, and something ancient stirs beneath the earth. And from the mist, the dead begin to march once more…
Spooktober is coming to Highlands Miniatures. 💀
This October, the gates will open to a month of Undead Horrors, necromancy, restless spirits and things that should have stayed buried.
The October 2026 set of miniatures will be composed by:
5x Undead Wolves
1x Rasputin the Necromancer (hero miniature)
1x Ghoul King (hero miniature)
2x Sorrow Banshees (hero miniature)
1x Mounted Skeletal Lord - Battle Standard Bearer option - (hero miniature)
1x Dismounted Skeletal Lord -Battle Standard Bearer option - (hero miniature)
5x Dark Knights -updated-
3x Dark Knights Command Group -updated-
4x Dark Knights Steeds -updated-
The dead are getting ready. Are you?
New Undead Heroes
The Mounted Skeletal Lord gather inspiration from the painting ‘After defeat at Flodden’ by Noel Paton (1821-1901). Randolph Murray returns to Edinburgh with the Blue Blanket, bearing the terrible news of defeat of the Scottish Army at Flodden. This event is now commemorated by the Edinburgh Riding of the Marches.
We decided to create an over the top banner as an emblem of this great fantas yrace.
The banner rises far above the rider -a skeletal figure suspended in an ornate bone frame of scrolling ribs, winged skulls and hanging blades, with a long ragged pennant falling beneath it. The lord himself is almost dwarfed by what he carries, and that is the point.
The Mounted Skeletal Lord comes with modular head and hand weapon, so an alternative miniature can be assembled with cavalry spear and alternative helmet.
The Mounted Sketal Lord is designed over a 30x60mm square base.
The Corpse Brides
A bride who never made it to the ceremony, and has been making everyone regret it ever since.
The Sorrow is built on a single grim idea: an undead femenine figure with a crown of roses that still sits on her head, still blooming, while everything else has rotted away around them.
The Sorrow Banshees are designed over 25x25mm square bases.
The Ghoul King
Not a noble corpse. A crowned animal.
The Ghoul King is sculpted as a blend between human and creature.
Where the rest of the range is slow and ceremonial, he is fast, low and hungry. He gives an Undead army its predator.
The Ghoul King is designed over a 25x25mm square base.
The Great Necromancer
A classic rendition of the aarchetype, including his unholy Reliquary, a magical glass vial owned and wielded by the vile mystic Rasputin.
The Necromancer is designed over a 25x25mm square base.

These look amazing. I thought I had everything I needed for my undead army, but now I need to add all of these because they look incredible.
Great Minis and even though I'm happy to reinforce my vampires I still have to ask: does this mean the Vikings are already over or is this just a Halloween special?
Hi Peter! October is always Halloween in Highlands Miniatures, but we will resume our work for the Norse Tribes in November! You can find what else is coming in the most recent Roadmap!
These all look fantastic! Btw. I think the community would love you guys if you could make a good "abyssal terror" on a 50x100 base, I feel thats an underserved niche.
These all look fantastic! I loe your work. Any chance of a female dwarf unit for Sons of Ymir? Dwarf queen on armored war bear. Eh eh 😅
BSB and Necromancer look amazing!! Can we get a necromancer on skeletal steed too please?
Glad you like them Carlos! We hope to continue working on our undead range of miniatures at some point next year!
Love these, some of your best
Thank you so much Andy!!
Really cool!!!! But no Zombie Dragon😅??? After your fantastic Elven dragon, I was secretly dreaming of a nice one for my undead army… 🥲
Wow, again, you've outdone yourself, Ramon! These look fantastic!
Thank you very much Olivier!
We want October every month 🤣🤩🥰😍
That necromancer is fantastic. What he really needs to go with him is a no frills Transylvania vampire lord. Maybe just the 2024 Pumpkin carving model but with hair… 😊
Woooo! Spooktober never disappoints with Highland miniatures. All of these models are amazing
Appreciate the kind words Joshua! Glad you like them!
These are fantastic, but those Banshees??? 👌
Who doesn't love a Tim Burton inspired fantasy miniature? 🤣 Glad you like them!
These are absolutely magnificent! I love all of these!
Thank you for the support and kind words, glad you like them!
Excellent as always! Next year for archer update?
Glad you like them Andrew! Hopefully we will make them before next year!
C'est génial ! Pourrions-nous avoir droit à une grande bannière à pied ? 😃
Glad you like them! Yes, there will be an alternative version of the Mounted Skeletal Lord BSB on foot! :)
Absolute bangers !
Appreciate the support!
