May 2026 Preview: the Feral Forest
The Feral Forest
A new set of Feral Elves is coming up this May 2026 to Highlands Miniatures.
We continue with the development of this fantasy race with an incredible and unique set of miniatures to bring the full devastating force of the Feral Forest to your tabletop game, including unique warriors, creatures, monsters and heroes.
Today we are incredibly excited to unveil the Feral Dragon and the Feral Elf Prince.
This miniature -dragon and rider- took us much more time than we originally expected, so we haven't been able to create a few more miniatures we conceptualized for the Feral Elves.
For this reason, we will bring a few more of these forest elves for the June 2026 set of miniatures. Stay tuned for more information about the next couple of months!
And remember, the May 2026 set of miniatures will be composed by:
7x Feral Elf Bladesingers
3x Feral Elf Bladesingers Command Group
3x Great Owls (with and without mount option)
3x Great Owls Riders
1x Feral Dragon
1x Feral Elf Prince on Feral Dragon
An Untamed Beast
From the deepest heart of the ancient forest, where no axe has ever fallen and no path has ever been cut, comes the most fearsome guardian of the wild.
For the Feral Dragon, we wanted to create a beast that feels born of the forest itself -not merely a dragon that lives among the trees, but a creature whose very essence is woven from root, branch, and ancient magic.
Its horns spread like the branches of an ancient oak, its jaw is framed by twisting tendrils of root and vine, and its body coils with a serpentine grace. The base integrates seamlessly with the dragon itself, with twisting roots and gnarled wood that blur the line between creature and forest.
Riding atop the Feral Dragon is the Feral Prince, a noble warrior-king of the deep forest. It comes with two available weapons: spear and bow.
The Feral Elf Dragon is designed over a 60x100mm square base.

Awesome!!
The word awesome does not even do it justice. Well done.
Thank you so much for the kind words Trevor!!
Absolutely incredible!! This whole feral elf line is everything I hoped it would be!!
Thank you for the kind words Brandon!
Woooow! I'm speechless, time to put my other project on stand by for this bad boy! I'm ready to say, this takes a place in my top favorite miniature!
Thank you much for the kind words and support, glad you like the miniature!!
Is there a chance of the dragon sculpt without the rigging? I want to paint that dragon by itself!
Unfortunately not at the moment, but maybe in the future! The rider attachment is minimal so you may be able to cut the attachment point, as the other elements are vines, and are part of the forest theme of the dragon :)
Looks awesome! Although that rope he's holding on to looks very delicate and prone to snapping......
Thank you David! We attached the rope to the bottom clothing of the hero rider to reinforce it, so hopefully it won't be an issue!
Holy moly 😻
I'm very excited to see what the other characters are in June and what is up for the Q3/4 lineup, many exciting things to come!
F'ing sick! I do not even play this faction (we honor The Lady in this household) but I might have to try them out just to justify printing and painting this badboy.
Appreciate the kind words and support Christopher, glad you like it!
This is the mini I’ve been waiting you to design for years!!! Masterpiece! Well done, tank you!
Thank you so much for the support Alexis!!
👏👏
Wow ! I really love the pose and movement of that dragon. It gives it a strong living creature vibe. Congrats !
Thank you so much! We searched all over the internet to find an interesting pose and we saw a great reference of a dragon twisted around a tree and we decided to give it a go! It was hard but definitely worth it!
Well well well, Mr "I hate doing monsters/animals". No longer will we allow that excuse. *Removes hat.... Bows*
haha the statement continues to be true! But the force of repetition... you know... But still don't like them! Thank you for the support Kevin!!
Holy crap, now THATS a dragon
Thank you so much Victor!! Looking forward to see it printed and painted by the community!
Ok so I love this! It's insanely true to the lore and so so good
Thank you for the kind words and support Petros, glad you like it!
That might be one of your best sculpt yet 🤩 Insane pose without overloading the model, that's so cool ! Well done ! 💪
Thank you very much! It really took us a long time to figure out the pose and how to integrate it with the base to make it look like a proper dragon in a forest. Glad you like it!
Yes Ramon!!! For a man who doesn’t like sculpting animals and monsters you’ve knocked it out the park again.
Thank you so much Craig! You guys keep forcing me to sculpt them so.. at some point I should improve! haha
That's pretty damn awesome!
Thank you for the support Chris!!
Encore une fois vous êtes les meilleurs 😍😍
Merci beaucoup!! 🧡
Well holy hell that's rad!
Thank you so much! Glad you like it!
