Dec. 2025 Preview: Marduk Ordnance and Roadmap!

In today’s publication we will look at what’s coming next to Highlands Miniatures for the first half of 2026 and we will unveil the remaining miniatures coming next month for the Sons of Marduk.

As always, we want to thank you all for your support along this fantasy development journey. We expect to continue working on additional fantasy miniatures for more years to come!

 What will come next?

January

In January we will continue working on the Sons of Marduk with an unique set of religious followers of the Cult of Marduk -fanatical zealots- including mystical creatures and powerful sorcerers.

February

Hobgoblins! In February we will create an incredible set of Hobgoblins creatures: hand weapons, bows, mounted... A fine selection of these mischievous creatures!

March

In March we will complete the Sons of Marduk with new and unique hero miniatures and more.

April

In April we will return to our Feral Elves to continue developing this fantasy army with new elite cavalry miniatures and scouts!

May

We will continue working on the Feral Elves in May with a goal in mind: to complete this army and move on to new adventures!

Marduk Ordnance

This December 2025 we continue working on the Sons of Marduk with a complete set of artillery pieces.

The December 2025 set of miniatures will be composed of:

  • 1x Sons of Marduk Mortar

  • 1x Sons of Marduk Rocket Launcher

  • 5x Sons of Marduk Mortar and Rocket Crew

  • 1x Sons of Marduk Cannon

  • 3x Sons of Marduk Cannon Crew

  • 1x Blazing Icon of Marduk on wheels

  • 5x Blazing Icon of Marduk crew

Marduk Cannon and Blazin Icon of Marduk

The Marduk Cannon is essentially based on some of the cannons used during the Siege of Vienna by the Ottoman Empire. We included some ornaments to link the design to the Sons of Marduk aesthetic.

The Cannon is designed to expel molten metal through its mouth. We followed a basic medieval -even ancient- Iron Smelting procedure in order to achieve this idea, where a bunch of propeller, like carbon, is placed on top of a pire with metal at the bottom, in order to heat it to a high temperature.

The top of the cannon shows a pattern of crackling, lava-like fissures running through it. Like if molten magma has been trapped inside a metal tube, barely contained and ready to burst. We expect to see some nice OSL paintings with this miniature!

The Sons of Marduk Cannon is designed over a 50x100mm square base.

Here you can see some of the references that have inspired us to design the Sons of Marduk Cannon.

For the Icon of Marduk we went a bit over the top to create a majestic center piece. This is probably one of the biggest miniature we have ever created. The main idea comes from a combination of a siege ram and a big religious icon, with some torture tools thrown in the middle.

The Brazen Bull -a torture and execution device designed in ancient Greece- plays a huge role in this miniature. Image a big and scary bull made of bronze, with fumes and awful noises coming out of his vents, coming right at you in the middle of the battlefield.

This chariot-like miniature comes also with two cannons, perfectly designed to blast your way through the table.

The Blazing Icon of Marduk is designed over a 60x100mm square base.

Here you can see some of the references that have inspired us to design the Blazing Icon of Marduk.

Wonderful news and mini. A bit puzzled I need to wait until April to continue feral elves… but I’m convinced it will worth waiting!

When you guys announced the Icon of Marduk I was wondering what that would be exactly... I'm stoked to see it turned out to be a War Wagon! Take that, Sunland!
