September 2024 Preview: Introducing the Aegean Elves
To design a new fantasy race also implies to think about how it compares with an average human.
We always envisioned the elves as per Tolkien idea of the elves: tall and thin figures, small waist and delicate features, majestic and beautiful but equally dangerous.
Therefore, these ideas have to be translated to the final sculpts, not only in the armour and weapons but in the anatomy.

For this upcoming September we plan to release an Aegean Elves Battalion force to perfectly quickstart your new fantay race.
The September 2024 set of miniatures will be composed of:
8x Aegean Elves Spearmen
3x Aegean Elves Spearmen Command Group
6x Aegean Elves Archers
3x Aegean Elves Archers Command Group
5x Aegean Elves Mounted Lances
3x Aegean Elves Mounted Lances Command Group
1x Aegean Elves Balista
3x Aegean Elves Balista Crew
A myriad of helmets
Helmets will be of heavy importance for these Aegean Elves, representing not only rank but pertenence to different units.
Each unit will come with a custom designed and unique helmet, easily recognizable, that represents and tell the story behind the specific miniatures that compose the unit.
We also understand the relevance of conical helmets for some of you, so we will put our focus on modular heads -when possible- to give you freedom of choice.

Is it possible to get a loose Arrow to add as an accessory? Maybe to have on the base or to attach to the bow as if it is in mid shot, etc?

Hi there! There will be an armoured Aegean Elves unit with bows and spears in future releases!
If I didn't already have 10,000+ points of high elves these would be an instant print. As is I'm hoping to see a few units in this range: * Horse chariots * Skycutter chariots * Great Eagles
Lol I am in the same boat with around 300+ elf mins. I agree some good chariot minis would be great, however my top request (if Highland minis is reading this) would be a cavalry unit of elf warriors with axes riding on great mountain lions.

I will echo what a lot of others say that the sculpts are fantastic and they really give that classic high elf feeling. That being said I do want to offer a bit of a critique though. The faces do look a bit off. I’m not sure if it’s that they look really old or that alot of them have open mouths.

But why so many of them have open mouths? I could understand it if teeth were showing, but now it looks like they are all mouth breathing...
Maybe they are just a bit sleepy. Who knows!
liking these 95%, but something is weird with their expressions, the all look mildly shocked and a bit annoyed, as well as a lot of repeating faces - hope that is something that can be worked on, otherwise really good work as always

Looks so awesome. Cant wait to print them. I have a little wish. COuld we get a quiver with arrows and a bow attached to it as seperate parts ? I ask this way we could build some seaguard.

Love love love these sculpts. Only thing is they look old in the face. I think it’s the mouths. Will there be some younger looking faces or is this the aesthetic for them?
Glad you like them Craig! There will be more heads with more different faces for following units as our intention is to make all the heads modular when possible. But the overall anatomy of the face will follow the same line as those already showcased.
