August 2024 Preview: the Eternal Pharaohs
The final additional to the Eternal Dynasties is coming next month to Highlands Miniatures!
For this coming August 2024 set of miniatures we continue the developmet of this fantasy race with new incredible monsters, creatures, hero miniatures and much more!
We cannot yet provide a full list of miniatures for the following month as we do not know how many days it will take us to create the full list of horrific creatures and heroes we have in mind, but we have more new miniatures ready to showcase.
As of today, the August 2024 set of miniatures will be composed of:
3x Mounted Ancient Guard on Great Snakes
3x Mounted Ancient Guard Command Group on Great Snakes
3x Great Snakes
3x Wadjets
3x Sand Vultures
1x Eternal Scorpion
We will update the list the following days as we sculpt and showcase more miniatures!
Since the beginning of this fantasy race, we always had the movie 'The Mummy' as our main reference to design creatures and miniatures. And this time could not be any different!
For the design of the Eternal Scorpion we wanted to sculpt The Scorpion King from the movie 'The Mummy Return'. Well, at least the idea behind that design, as the VFX version released for the blockbuster was... well, not the best!
The Eternal Scorpion is designed over a 50x75mm square base.
For the Sand Vultures we decided to replace the feathers for old straps, similar to the ones used for mummies, to capture the same feeling while using the skeleton of a vulture as a base. T
he Sand Vultures are designed over 40x40mm square bases.

I will BEG for a scorpion Head than a dude where a Scorpions head should be! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE
Sorry, but this scorpion is a rare miss for me :( Any chance of one that is _just_ a scorpion, instead of a scorpion/man hybrid?
Of course! We have plans for a new Fantasy Fillers & Heroes campaign in the future for the Eternal Dynasties, to include additional and alternative miniatures. We may sculpt a basic scorpion at that time. :)
Is it possible to have an alternative head? (giant scorpion, I dont like the actual head)
I agree, the head doesn't look quite right to me
Also, are there any plans to add a quizmaster to the range? #sphinx
Looks awesome, I like the use of straps over feathers. What's a wadjet?
My bad, I realise now the wadjets were previewed in the last update
Low key hoped for The Rock version of scorpion xD
Maybe as an add-on in the future! 🤣🤣
