Did my first one on one today
Feeling happy. Processing my day. I had my first call mentoring someone one on one, recorded so we can put it out on the channel as well (a new format I’m trying). Felt good to make a difference helping someone directly in a way that could also benefit many others. Wanted to share!
What was the highlight of your day?

This extension of your skills set is a great move. Just remember all you have learned - don’t be too ADHD and believe you are invincible; stay grounded and always be able to step back or even away. You have two other priorities by your side, one can help and support you every day, the other is yet to learn those skills to even help or support herself. They both love and adore you; stay healthy to return in kind. Otherwise, good fortune and happy 2026.
Sounds like me!

Ok.... I am having problems with my phone.. dont ask me why it sent the same text three times. Just ignore that.. (it wasnt my Adhd brain that time)

I have had ADHD as long as I can remember and for just about as long there has been a stigma against it and the person with it...
Hey Jess, I want to be a neurodivergent coach and advocate. Do you have any suggestions for a path of education and/or certification? I have a bachelor's degree already, but it's in business rather than psychology; psychology is a special interest though so I have a lot of self-taught knowledge and 5 ND brains in my household I've been coaching for years.
Generally it’s good to get ICF certified and there should be some adhd specific trainings that are built with getting ICF certified in mind. I don’t have any specific trainings in mind but that should give you enough info hopefully to go searching online for what’s available. A degree in psychology isn’t a requirement for coaching so whether you go to school for a psych degree would be up to you.
That's wonderful Jessica. I am really so happy. Highlight of my day was reading this and all of the wonderful comments. Second was playing some hockey. I've been trying to get some exercise and it was a bit of a struggle getting myself to register and get out there. And I had a good thing at work too. It seems like, finally, to me I've got some fun data to share after months of important work that doesn't look fun. And this bit is fun. 😁🥸
Congratulations on the win! Take it all in.
Congratulations Jessica, that's so wonderful!💙😀
Spending time with my wonderful mom, husband, and loved ones and the awesome kiddos at my job and drawing a picture with one of them and reading to and running around the gym with others😀 Also stopping by the Virgin Mary Statue at my church near me to say a prayer😀
The highlight of my day was taking my son for a walk in the melting snow. He requested we go outside via poignant speech to his Dad, followed by directing me to the door, and placing his shoes up on the bench. He's 1.5. He changed his mind on the walking part, per usual. But I was not going back inside after bundling us up. He loved looking around taking it all in. I loved compacting the untouched snow. Sure my arms and hips hurt. But I got a FULL body workout and priceless memories.
I found something after barely starting to look for it, read a bit of it, got frustrated (not due to a lack of understanding, it’s just that parts of it piss me off), tried to discus-throw it across the room to the other sofa, misthrew (sending it behind a pile of stuff), immediately went over, picked it up, and pretty much instantly found something that I’d been looking for for over a month off-and-on! 🤭
That’s awesome Jessica! Looking forward to watching the session online too! My highlight would be learning a deeper understanding of working memory and great strategies from your audio book which I’ll be putting into practice asap, thank you so much for all that you do for the ADHD community! 🫶🫶🫶
That's awesome, Jess! Highlight of my day, was being able to walk around the house with a cane. I had a stroke this past April which left my right side paralyzed. Been using a wheelchair and large quad cane. My balance has gotten better, so I can start to manage with just a single point cane now. It's a huge win!
My father-in-law has been in a similar place since March of last year. He found that “activator poles” helped him maintain balance and develop back strength. Might be worth looking into?
Ahhh that is so cool I’m so happy for you. I haven’t really had to crazy if a day because it is still so cold so I’m gonna have a chill evening reading so that will be my high
He he… ‘Chilling in the cold’.
