Progress Report | The Judas Ghost - 07/14/2025
I've heard some people say they're not sure I know what direction to take The Judas Ghost, but I assure you, I do. However, TJG is supposed to be more focused on adult content than story. By design.
There's been a lot of disappointment surrounding Over the Moon's ending. But, as I've said several times, it is not the end. We've still got an entire Suzi chapter that will wrap up the loose ends and give us more content with the girls. I was going to take some time off from the trilogy but the rampant disapproval of OtM's conclusion is kind of forcing my hand here.
Then we'll move on a day-date with Suzi. I'm still planning things out from there but essentially this will be the jumping off point. Suzi's chapter will end with a setup for Quean Bee.
So please, for the love of all that is unholy, stop comparing Over the Moon's ending to Game of Thrones. What a seriously outrageous comparison. Ugh.
Anyway, I am genuinely sorry that OtM didn't live up to most people's expectations. I worked exceptionally hard on it, but at the end of the day, there was a lot of anger and bitterness surrounding the treatment of A Petal Among Thorns by Steam and itch. I carried all that throughout the rest of development and I think it shows. You can be mad at me for not being a stronger person, but save at least a little anger for the censorship that is tearing apart the community we've grown to adore.
Let's try to stay positive. There's a lot to look forward to, I always welcome critical feedback from my fans, and I'm still learning and growing as a story-teller. More fun content is in the works.

Please give us that well-deserved ending, that perfect closure for what for me is the coolest visual novel saga of all, each story captures the love and passion you have and that was what I fall in love with your whole story, thank you for so much and sorry for so little
Now that I know you are in production of the final chapter and the one that will close them, my hopes grow, take your time, focus on other projects, I will wait patiently
Honestly, I wasn't mad at the ending but I was a little disappointed, because in the end I expected the MC and Suzie to be together and when there wasn't a scene and closure for them a part of me broke :'(
For sure. The last Chapter will be about Suzi. And it'll close some of the plotholes. I didn't want Moon's game to be too much about Suzi. People will be a lot more satisfied with the trilogy after Suzi's chapter.
Now just for giggles.. Considering the Re-master releases of both Petal and Bliss as full complete games should we expect to see a Re-mastered "Full Release" of Moon some time next year once both JG and QB both have a good head of steam going?
Shouldn't need to remaster Moon's game. I remastered the other to fix the odd face shapes the girls had.
No disappointment from me other than it is finished. But it IS ACTUALLY FINISHED. A lot of devs don't ever get to finish. So, well done, Locky. You did good. Very good.
I think that a lot of people love the Rose Garden Trilogy (I do), and I think that whatever ending you made for it would have been dissapointing to a lot of people just on the fact that it actually ended :D You shouldnt feel like your hand is forced to continue the story. The day you work on a story only because the patreons want you to, and not because you want to do it yourself, is the day you start getting dangerously close to burning out. No one wants that! Take care!

I'm not dissapointed about the Over the Moon's ending, but i do feel the end was kind of "rushed". I had expected more renders, not sure if that makes sence (english is not my native). That said, you have my appriciation for the Rose Garden trilogy. I have enjoyed the journey from start to end and am curious what the Suzie "DLC" is going to add.
I suppose only the people that were unhappy with the ending raised their voices... To me, the comparison to GoT is completely insane. Nothing in the last episode were out of character for any of the characters. And of course it could have been longer, but basically, if you think the main arc in OtM is for MC and Moon to reconcile, the main step in that direction already happened in the previous episode. There were no more conflicts to resolve, no more secrets to uncover... just wrapping things up nicely with a satin ribbon - which I think you did. It's great to hear that you sound positive (and hydrated) despite this - Take care!
I liked the ending as well, my only complaint (of course) is that similar to a good book, you just never want it to end. So happy there is still more in the works, but take your time, rushing it will probably help nobody and you can never please everybody anyway.
That's why I didn't have issues that needed saying, I knew about the next part and wanted to wait and see.
Personally I like the way OTM ended.
