Map of Drakontir, the land of Dragoness Says Sit!
Hey all! Just a quick pop in to say hi! Hope everyone's summer is tolerable or enjoyable or great! I'll still be on break next week, but I wanted to share this, and let ya'll know I'm alive. It's been a nice break, my creative brain is recharging nicely, so thank you all for your patience.
I was on the fence about sharing the map for a long time. I had a VERY rough layout for most of the comic. But It's been slowly fleshing out, so I thought It was time to share a finished version of it, so you can follow along.
I'll admit, I am a sucker for maps in fantasy books, often flipping back and forth while reading the story, so I can track the characters progress. That said, the reason I was nervous about sharing it, is because it locks the world in place somewhat, and limits my ability to add on to it as the story grows.
But Like I said, I've been using a rough version of this for years now, so I'm confident that this is it. This is the world. Not everything is relevant, and there are some blank spots, and some room for additions. So bear with me if I add on to it in the future, as the world grows with my writing. Building the world out has been part of the fun of writing the story, and I'm so glad you're all enjoying it too. 😁
See you soon!
Fafnir
Oh, and If you're wondering where the Shadow dragons are... so is everyone else. 😋

Thank you Fafnir! I also flip back to the maps in books. 🥰
who thinks this would make a fire d & d map
Motherfuckas be Wilden in the East
Yay map! (I loved looking over the Forgotten Realms maps that were included in the Drizzt series books). As for changing the map later, you could canonically have this as, say, the human's interpretation, and then an elf or dragon comes along and says it's all wrong here's the "real" map.
Welcome back!
That's their secret, the Shadow dragons are EVERYWHERE.
Hell yeah! Would be cool if someone did an actual sketch of the whole map on old parchment like old medieval maps. That’d be cool
Would Draconic scholars write "Here be humans" on remote, little-explored areas of their maps?
YES! Finally! I've been waiting for this for so long. I'm a sucker for fantasy maps. Now all we need is some kind of in-universe field guide with basic information on the major locations.
The HVAC has not died, the grass is more verdant than it has ever been in the past despite being summer (usually it's golden brown around here), by all accounts summer has been *fantastic.* Nature is healing, thank you. The Shadow Dragons live in the shadows of towering cliffs, of course.
Honestly, radically altering the map as you expand the world sounds like a rule that deserves to be broken. I'd encourage anyone building a world to throw the old map out if they want. Old world maps were notoriously flawed and misleading and down right false.
Hear hear. Although having it is very useful writing reference.
You could always expand into the "New World" later. I joke because this looks vaguely like a map of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
The towns name is "Town". How back water do you need to be to not have a settlement name.
Imp felt right at home. 😂 in all seriousness, it's so insignificant, it wouldn't even be on the map.
Easy to add onto it as this is the "Known world"! Thanks for the update. I really miss your world Faf!
We're going to need you to hold up today's newspaper in an illustration of your dragon avatar for proof of life, Faf. 😜
One sec. I'll go find a newspaper. [And he was never seen again...]
I love maps bro, this is awesome! Also hope you are having a good break!
Sweet! Been wondering what the land looked like for a while. Now I must spend 30 minutes analyzing this and print out a physical copy. lol
Oh maps my love. Can’t wait to come back to this map every time Elias and Flare travel!
Also loved that he included Snacktimol island😂😂😂
Clearly the bottom right is Australia in disguise XP Jokes aside this is amazing, makes me curious to know about the rest that we haven't seen in the comic
Nuh uh. its a dangerous land full of deadly poisonous creatures and hazerdous natural pitfalls. Toootally not australia. 😋
Oh dang. Got this thing really built huh?
Excuse me while I geek out of this map😍
That's so awesome! I'm particularly curious about what Elridea, the Empire of Man and Drakonia, the Dragon Dictatorship, alongside their relationships with the rest of the world, are like. It's certainly going to be so fun to see this amazing fantasy world keep growing and developing through the years.
It probably will which side is going end up as top or bottom
Ooh I do love maps. It helps ground places in my head. Interesting to see the fiend’s cell is so far north. For some reason I had pictured it far south on the continent.
Ooga booga, must drag my eye over every last corner of this thing
Dude what vast would 💯 can't wait see it explored further
