Fun fact, the song at the end of the episode "Eat an Eraser - Princess Goes" is actually sung by Michael C. Hall aka Dexter!!
The fact they keep using the "Ice cold weather" to explain why Dexter lived, always irratated me because yes it can temporarily slow bleeding, and reduce blood flow, but extreme cold can also cause hypothermia which makes it harder for your blood to clot, pontentially making the bleeding worse. The cold really only helps at first.
Eh. They had to handwave away his death somehow. Otherwise resurrection couldn't have happened, and it's a great show so I certainly can't be mad that they made it. The only other option really would be that Dexter getting shot by Harrison was actually a dream or something that didn't really happen, and I feel like that would have been so much worse than what they did. I can suspend my disbelief for the plot armor of the main character, but the "it was a dream" is such a cop out and it would have ruined some of the themes they were able to get into with the route they took.
