You should definitely watch the matrix, I think you would find it really cool, up your alley... but maybe a bit confusing. But I think you'd love it and while its not without sadness or pain, i think you could very much handle it and also id like to hear your thoughts on the emotions that would inherently come with what they go through.
"The Squids" would add a nice bit of comedic relief 😂😂 I think they're just the henchmen 🤔
To help with some of the timeline questions: - Season 1 mostly takes place in the summer of 2020, in the month of June. - The last episode of season 1 has two time jumps, one in December 2021 where Gi-Hun learns the truth about Oh Il-nam, and the last one occurring in 2022 at the airport with Red-haired Gi-Hun (I liked his red hair ;A; but I get why they decided to redye his hair back to a natural brown/black) deciding not to board his plane after seeing ddjaki guy earlier in the subway, - Kang Cheol, Kang Sae-byok's brother, spends a year in the orphanage after Gi-hun wins, as Gi-hun doesn't get his shit together to fulfill his promise to Sae-byok, until AFTER he learns the truth about Il-nam on December 24/25th 2021. Cheol's been with Sang-Woo's mother for about three years at the beginning of Season 2, as a result of this. - Season 2 starts in 2024, since we're given the date of October 31st 2024 for Gi-hun's meeting with The Front Man and for No-eul's pickup. - The men Gi-hun have hired have been looking for the ddjaki man for two years before finally finding him at a subway station and getting captured after following him.

With Saw-Beuok’s little brother and thinking he was way younger 2 years ago, I’m gonna assume he was around 9 or 10 then, and is 11 or 12 in this season. You know also how those growth spurts right around puberty can be, like 6 inches in one year! Thinking even of how small Daniel Radcliffe looked in the first Harry Potter movie vs the 3rd
I get your point, especially with boys when they reach a certain point in their stage through puberty and just grow like weeds. Just wanted to add that it's been a few years since the epilogue of season 1. Most of season 1's events take place in 2020, save for the epilogue in the final episode with Oh Il-nam that jumps ahead in time to December 2021, and the scenes afterwards with Sang-woo's mom, and at the airport later in 2022. Season 2 starts in 2024. So Sae-byok's brother has been with Sung-woo's mom for a few years at the start of Season 2.
I forgot just how intense season 2 was in the beginning. Oh we are in for it!
