I was a new mom when I first watched this and all I could think about was Judith and how hard it would be to keep a baby alive. Seriously, what is she eating lol
When Daryl cries, we ALL cry...
When Daryl cry, we cry 😢
THIS IS WHERE THE WALKING DEAD REALLLLYYYY TURNS TOP TIER FROM THIS POINT ON !!
I don’t think you’re right about Daryl putting a cigarette out on his hand is about his past with that happening before. I think Daryl can’t process his emotions or his grief so he turns it into something he can’t deal with which is physical pain. He’s comfortable with that but he can’t deal with his feelings, so when Carol said you have to feel it he turned it into physical pain to let himself feel it … so he can try and process it in his own way.
Fair point! That very well could be👍
The barn scene is probably in my opinion one of the top scenes of this entire show. Andrew Lincoln’s delivery with the story about his grandpa and then the line drop of the title is just perfection.
I still don't think I'd lose my faith in god, if I was in this world. The world always has monsters just instead of running the world they are walking around eating people instead. Earth is ruled by Satan regardless. According to the bible anyway
You forgot to count a character when you were counting people. You forgot rick’s beard. It has become another character on the show 🤣
Maaaaaan I can’t wait for these next few episodes 😆
THIS was a great episode! Loved it, the defeat, the storm and then Aaron!!! So much to come Tom, sooooo much to come!!!
Daryl intentionally burned himself to force himself to feel something. This type of self-injury is a harmful way to cope with emotional pain, sadness, anger and stress.
This episode was definitely filled symbolism for some benevolent entity watching out for them! But is Aaron an angel, or the Devil in disguise? I can't wait for Saturday 😫
Enters Ross Marquand (Aaron), really nice guy in real life. Warm and friendly with good energy. 😊👍🏿🫶🏿
"How do you binge all of this?" *me, who's binged several episodes in a row before* 😬
Tom u should eat before u take supplements. That shit'll burn a hole in your stomach
I thought you eat after😳🫣
You're entering my favorite period of the Walking Dead. Can't wait to see your reaction to it. I feel your gonna love it!
Sir, did you just call a cicada a locust? A cicada is my favorite bug and I will not have them confused with such a silly bug as a locust! Hahaha
Lol. What do you like about cicadas? I thought I was the only one with a "favorite bug". Mine is the dragonfly.
This is my fav episode, I think cause after the back to back deaths this episode summed up the lack of hope I felt for our group & how they persevered through it & maybe just maybe met a new friend 🥴
It's not guaranteed you'll get so numb you stop crying. I don't even remember how many times I've watched this show, and even though I know what's coming, I still cry hard every single time.
As heavy these couple of episodes are I still love them. That shot of the group walking on the road with the walkers behind them is stunning. They’re at their last strength yet keep moving forward, that is another type of strength. I find that are one of the reasons I keep watching after each huge loss. Like that to me is about hope when everything seems hopeless and pointless. You keep fighting. I think what Daryl meant by ”we aint them” is the same as what he said to Carol, they are not dead. They can’t be dead and still have hope. And I think, while at their lowest and very much grieving, they are not giving up. Sasha may be close at this point but she was right there beside Daryl and Maggie fighting to keep that door closed.
Never ceases to amaze me just how ridiculously helpful Daryl is for this group. Even if we just look at this one episode alone, he was constantly looking for food to feed everyone, he reacted the second it looked like Rick might get bitten by a Walker, he brought his group to a place where there’s shelter, he was the first to keep that Barn door closed when it got swarmed and he fixed the music box to uplift Maggie’s spirits. It’s hard not to love him.
He also kept watch while everyone was sleeping and refused water because they were short and he always makes sure everyone else has enough even if it means he goes without
Man Rick’s beard looks so good tom you should grow yours out
This is the last episode of TWD phase I. You've made it to the beginning of the best 2/3s of the show.
Abraham didn't tell Sasha that she would get everyone killed... he said "the way you're going you're always going to make things worse", that was more self reflecting from his behaviour than it was about insulting Sasha. I like that, even though Eugene lied, Abraham was still protecting him from drinking that unknown water. I really liked the symbolism at the barn doors... the three that were weakened and giving up, Sasha, Daryl and Maggie, were also the first 3 to jump up to hold the doors closed. Then all of them, fighting together to protect each other... it was awesome. And yes, God is throughout this entire show and it is so well done.
This is my favorite episode of TWD. Possibly my favorite episode of TV in general. It's a great exploration of grief and how different people react to it. Daryl is in denial: he's pushed it al down and just tries to put one foot in front of the other, completely numb. Sasha is angry and just wants to hurt something. Maggie becomes hopeless and lethargic. All of them avoid talking about it. In Maggie and Daryl 's cases, they have that one special someone that can get through to them and help them start to heal. I love that line from Glenn, too: "we can make it together, but we can only make it together. " The perfect example of that comes up with the storm and the swarm. It took all of them working together to hold the threat at bay and survive.
he did it, he said the thing.
*Pointing DiCaprio meme* 😂
I just wanted to say today, I'm very sad to hear about Hayden, Dolly, and now TIM CURRY!! 😭 WHAT IS GOING ON LATELY THIS IS CRAZY!!
Love this episode! So focused on the aftermath of Beth & Tyreese, how that is affecting Maggie, Sasha, and Daryl. Conversations about not knowing if they will make it, lack of food, water, & shelter. Wild dogs show up that gives them food, water left in the road, the rain, Darly found the barn for shelter, a tornado/storm that just misses the barn but gets rid of the walkers & protects them. Ricks speech, sign after sign in this episode to not give up, there is more to this life than what our group is experiencing right now. Aaron showing up, clean cut, left the water, & the broken music box starts playing. Whether its God or fate, the signs are there, the music box can be a good or bad sign, but a sign nonetheless. Much love Tom!
the amount of loss and trauma, I finally see why it's called the "walking dead." Just look at Rick.
