Health Update: Good news, test results, and next steps!
Hello everyone!
I wanted to jump on here and share a quick follow-up regarding the medical tests I mentioned in my last post. First, I want to share the massive sigh of relief we’ve all been waiting for: It is NOT a tumor, and I am NOT celiac! Thank goodness.
However, the doctors did find the root cause of what’s been going on. It turns out my digestion has become incredibly slow. Because of this, my body hasn't been absorbing nutrients the way it should, which has put me into a stage of malnutrition. That explains the drastic and alarming weight loss over the past couple of years.
What happens now and how it affects my work
I am already starting a treatment and diet plan to fix this, get my nutrition back on track, and regain my strength. That’s the good part! The tricky part is that the medications I’ve been prescribed to help my stomach are currently making me feel very lethargic and sluggish.
Between dealing with the drowsiness from the meds and adjusting to the standalone drawing tablet, focusing and working has been a bit of a challenge these past few days. Things will still be moving at a slower pace while my body adapts to the treatment.
A quick reminder on the tech side
As you can imagine, with these unexpected medical studies and new treatments, my current funds are going entirely toward taking care of my health. Because of this, I still haven't been able to save up enough money to replace my dead PC.
I am still working completely from my XPPEN drawing tablet, which gets a bit bogged down with my usual heavy art files. If you have the means and would like to support me through this rough patch—helping me cover these ongoing medical expenses and eventually helping me get back to a proper, fast PC setup—please consider subscribing to my Patreon or SubscribeStar, or simply spreading the word!
Every single tier subscription makes a massive difference for me right now, and you get a mountain of art, source files, and rewards in return.
Thank you all so much for the incredible wave of support, kind messages, and understanding you showed me in the last update. Knowing I have this amazing community behind me makes a world of difference.
I’ll keep you posted on my progress. Take care, and thank you for being awesome! 🤘
