A very honest update: Technical issues, health, and how you can help

Long post incoming!

Hello everyone!

First of all, I want to give a massive thank you to all my new supporters and welcome you here! I truly hope you love what you find in this community.

I have a few major things I need to get off my chest today. Let’s start with the technical stuff first.

The Tech Meltdown

I have to mention that LUCK is currently behind me with a knife… because my computer completely died a couple of days ago. It looks like a major power supply failure ended up busting almost everything inside the tower. I have to buy a completely new setup—new processor, new motherboard, new SSD, new power supply, and new RAM. Literally the only thing that survived is the CPU case.

This doesn’t mean I can’t work! Luckily, I have an XPPEN Magic Drawing Pad tablet, so I can still work on your commissions and rewards. However, things will move at a slower rate for two main reasons:

1. I’m still adjusting to working on a standalone tablet compared to my PC setup.

2. The tablet isn't quite powerful enough for massive files and slows down during heavy work. Plus, its version of Clip Studio Paint isn't supported on Android anymore, meaning I can't update the software.

A Health Update

The other thing I want to be open about is my health. Some of you already know about my ongoing gastrointestinal issues—I had my gallbladder removed back in 2021, and I have to be very careful with what I eat.

Ever since that surgery (which was actually two surgeries in one go, because they had to fix a hernia at the same time), I started losing weight. Before the surgery, I was around 95 kg (210 lbs). After changing my habits, exercising, and eating a clean, low-fat diet, my weight stabilized around 75–70 kg (165–154 lbs), which was normal.

However, from 2023 up until today, I’ve just kept losing more and more weight. I am now down to 60 kg (132 lbs). Considering I am 1.70 m tall (5'7"), this is becoming pretty alarming. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been undergoing a lot of medical tests—tomographies, blood work, thyroid tests, and even celiac tests—to figure out exactly what is going on. I’ll likely get the definitive results later today to see what the issue is and how to fix it (I’m just staying positive and hoping it’s not a tumor).

What This Means & How You Can Support

Depending on what the doctor says and if I need more medical studies, I might have a little less time to work on art in the immediate future. On top of that, my Fridays are a bit tighter now because I am currently taking an animation course to expand my skills, which takes up a good chunk of my day.

Between the medical situation and the class, my schedule is a bit packed. This also means that any funds I make right now need to go directly toward covering medical expenses instead of buying a new PC.

Because of this, I want to humbly ask for your support—but obviously, not for free! I’m currently not opening up any special commission slots because I just opened them recently and still have a backlog to finish. I can't give myself the luxury of overworking the way I used to 8 years ago.
