"Let's super glue that joke back together" is a hilarious statement 🤣🤣 Did anyone tell us that we'd just randomly lose words mid-sentence after we hit our 40s? Because no one told me.
It’s a one wheel. I’m surprised Jimmie doesn’t know what it is
Dirk. Couldn’t decide between dick or jerk
Listening to this on my flight to Dallas
I almost started to listen to this as I sit in an airport waiting for my flight to board 🤣
My dad and grandmother had tickets to the Colts game, but couldn’t end up attending, so they sold their tickets
This is what happens when gas prices soar. People find cheaper ways to get around. Spend $3000 for a wheel or spend $1000 a month on gas. Small cars are probably also going well these days
Those electric wheels have been a thing for close to a decade now. It’s just more noticeable now because it’s better to go electric than having to pay $4 a gallon of gas
Just heard the pilot errors episode. As you get ready to go to San Jose you should look up Eastridge Mall. It has been the sight of numerous aircraft crashes. I think they built an airfield next to the mall.
As one of the ten fans who enjoys 70s football I appreciate the references
That's right Burt Reynolds 😂😂😂😂
Black Sunday is a decent movie actually
Im in Japan listening to these guys! I needed to hear something from home 🏡
I can see the airport where the reno races used to take place from my house. Been to the aur races a few times before they canceled it
This unicycle has a headlight & does 75mph. Saw him go down some stairs on it. Only $2k so a cheaper avenue to death. 🤣 https://a.co/d/02pDfYk3
I'm too juvenile for the word "cropduster" 😆.
A guy used to ride one of those motorized unicycles right down the yellow lines of a major route that I traveled for work. I was on my way there one day, looked over and screamed like a little girl! He had a full face helmet on and for a split second I thought he was running to keep up with me. 😂 I'm from Pennsylvania, at the Mason-Dixon line. About 25 years ago, a small plane crashed into a home on the south side of my hometown. Killed mother and father and son. I worked with the only person left from the household. If she hadn't been at work, she'd have died as well.
Dude! I fucking saw one of those single wheel….things a couple months ago and it’s the most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen on a roadway….nnnnnope!
I feel validated that James had the same exact reaction I had to it lol!
My buddy was a pylon judge for that 2011 Reno air race. He got hit by a bunch of debris and had some wild photos of the aftermath.
I can’t wait to listen to this on my way to the airport today 😂
I literally saw one of those crazy ass unicycles in Manhattan Kansas the other day! Dude was riding on the highway and dodging in between traffic! INSANE
A “spinner” in aviation is the nose cone, the little piece on the prop to make it more aerodynamic. Different part then the propeller
The first one in Baltimore is insane. Memorial Stadium was in a very established residential neighborhood!
I’ve seen both air show crashes on Air Disasters - my favorite show on Smithsonian channel. Nasty!
This was a great episode! Hoping you guys do another episode like this on the near future. Truly appreciated James’s deep dive into the first pilot. That dude was like a criminal onion, and the stories did not disappoint.
I work with a kid with one of those ridiculous wheels. The model he has will hit 90 MPH. We’re all just waiting on when he’s either crippled or killed. It’s been a year tho and he seems to be doing just fine
The first crash happened just days before I was born. I'll have to ask my parents if they remember hearing about it. The crash, not my birth. 🤭
There was a flyover that just happened in South Africa where the planes were way too close to the stadium. They set off fireworks at the same time, and the planes were so low they flew through the smoke.
About "Carol": funnily enough, in English-speaking cultures, if you hear of a man with a "woman's" name, that's because that name used to be a masculine name. Sydney, Ashley, Lesley/Leslie, Tracey, Dana, Kelley, Carol, and Courtney were all more common in boys in 1900, become unisex, and then once they become "feminine", the number of boys given that name *plummets* because the social stigma for "wrong gender" name is higher for boys than girls.

Listened to this right after the Colts and Steelers game… weird!!! Shout out TB, what can’t he do lol
Omg I forgot about Casey Anthony’s hallway 🤣
Love how this episode is my in flight entertainment today. Haha
I almost listened to Black Sunday, it's Thomas Harris, the author of the Hannibal Lecter books. That's crazy, I can buy a plane damn near as much as a mid size car
Playoffs? .
How many times has Harrison Ford crashed a plane?
Could anyone just get a pilots license back in the 70's?
I’m not so sure you needed one. My dad was a pilot in WW2 and being from Texas would fly planes home for visits. I went on some test flights with him when he was thinking about buying a plane. Did you know you can puke out the window at low altitudes? I doubt he had a license. He ended up getting a motorcycle for about 15 minutes! I think that scared him worse than the plane scared me.
Why did I think this was going to be about the first episode of bad tv shows 😂
James mentioned Burt Young while talking about crashes and now I need to rewatch the “Another Toothpick” episode of ‘The Sopranos’.
There's a terrible film he was in with Hugh Grant and James Caan called Mickey Blue Eyes. Awful, Hugh Grant has to pretend to be a mobster but worth a watch for his attempt at an Italian American accent.
He wasn’t, “Stabbed for COINS!”, Jimmie…he was, “Stabbed for COIN”…singular…uno…oooofaa
So the spinner. I didn’t know this but it’s the aerodynamic fairing that goes over the center of a propeller where it’s actually mounted to the hub. Honestly I’m not sure if that person knew it was an actual part, it’s funnier that way at least.
My brother used to ride a unicycle back in the 70s. I can’t believe they make them electric. The things you see nowadays
I saw someone on one of those electric unicycles! He was on the bike path and was in fact wearing a motorcycle helmet
It’s a big problem. I usually stay in traffic it’s more predictable
I work on air traffic control systems, so this is an interesting episode. I can see why the FAA always puts out TFR (Temporary Flight Restrictions) on the Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs) for stadium events nowadays.
I have seen the electric unicycles. They are cool looking but not for me.
I had to look them up, does look pretty strange!
Mmm...more disasters 🤘
Love it! 🤘💜
Mmh fresh off the presses
Hello, everybody. Hope you all are having a great weekend
Hello Allen I’m in the middle of washing windows, so not too exciting! 😆 Hope you’re doing well and having a great weekend
