I'm Loving these episodes! 🤣
Leave your hat on
You will get fucked
Do guys get to show their drawers below pants too? And just because sex is sdld there doesnt make the whole area fucking Times Square in ths 70s. Take your damn hats off. I don't give a shit about your drug dealer etkquette, these are the rules. I grew up where polite conversation means eye contact. Heads down in a hat , no sightline is rude AND SHADY. Sometimes y'all are just wrong. We used to call it "rude and crude". And check Anaïs Nin.
So, people used to wear hats and outercoats more because there was more ambient dirty, debris, and soot in the air. You took all that off when you went inside so you didnt track it in and so it didnt fall onto the table when you moved. Depending on the age if the coffee shop, it may be tradition more than anything and they keep it going. There also could be a security thing so people cant hide their identity
Usually the problem if I’m eating and listening is I will get grossed out, but today I laughed with my mouth full and got tzatziki on my shirt.
Yael is usually pronounce Yah-el if it’s in Hebrew
I feared for my life buying weed many times in illegal years. You’re right about the very freedom of getting and growing it free and clear from being in trouble for it! I made a whole YouTube channel about growing it now! My, how times change. <3 happy harvest!
Wasn't Quip a cereal back in the 60's and 70's?🤔🤨 No, that was Quisp. Quip is a toothbrush company.
I'd bet the guy meant to say the staff will quip "closed" as in they say "closed" to him. Or he's making the weirdest toothbrush ad on earth idk
I love all the “just get stoned and calm down” AS James, probably high as fuck …. Complains about everything 😂😂😂
Glad to know that Walgreens just sucks nationwide, it’s the only pharmacy my insurance accepts, and they are absolutely atrocious at every turn.
I live in Pittsburgh and have never heard of the haunted place. Now I want to go and laugh
I always say weed prices are so low compared to my high school days. I graduated in 2012, and we used to pitch all of our money together to get a $60 1/8th, and usually it was a bit less than that as well lmao
We spent a few days in Amsterdam last year. Hit up plenty of coffee shops (what they call all the stores that sell weed), and never took our hats off. Must be a weird shop! Had a fabulous time with the weed and having drinks on the canals - while we would each guess how long a guy would be inside with a sex worker 🤪
I'm from Fayette county and I've heard it's a pretty good haunt.
Come on guys.....don't be so harsh with people playing their music for others to hear. The Small Town Murder podcast has accompanied me on many grocery trips and I know you had at least 5 new listeners . I know 5 doesn't sound like much but I'm in a small town and if each one of those tells their friends to listen.....well you know. That's how this legacy of yours was created.
Anais = Ah-Nah-Eese 😂
This episode, in particular the Amsterdam coffee house, made me think of how great a mini tour for J&J of Europe doing STM and in each city, some local YSO’s of local places, would be. And it would be AWESOME if they did it as a 90min special for Netflix. PLEASE !!!
People talking about how tourists are treated compells me to point out how incredibly nice people in NYC were on my last visit. 'Rude polite' is real, and it's appropriate for nearly all situations. People need to get over themselves and stop expecting to have their ass kissed with every interaction.
In states where cannabis is only medical you need a license from the state to enter dispensaries
“The State of Connecticut should hire respectful employees”. Me: *Laughs in State of Connecticut Employee.*
Also also lol, im from Buffalo (fantastic show btw!) and im wondering if that is why we have so many dispensaries around, because you have to be a member to use the damn things! It’s like every 3rd store front is a damn dispensary, and it’s like how?! This market so saturated…but maybe that is why. 😂
"Jewish church" 😆
I work at Walgreens and I am a store manager and I get notifications sometimes that the alarms are going off when they’re not supposed to, like in the middle of the night…It’s usually because of balloon floating past the damn alarm sensor and set it off. Our security operations can see that that’s happening and they will turn it off remotely like within 10 minutes…maybe? I dunno their time frame, but it’s DEFINITELY NOT HOURS LATER (we are across the street from residential homes and an old folks’ home; we would 100% get bitched at if it was longer than a few mins). They check all of our cameras to make sure nothing crazy is actually happening and then they text the store manager and let us know “hey at this time your alarm went off but everything looks cool but you know, be careful when you open just in case so you don’t get murdered, OK love you bye” that kind of message so I don’t know what the hell this guy is talking about. They would never just let it blare for hours on end. That’s crazy. Also, I hate that I started this episode as I was leaving work and now Im listening about work lol.
Also, the lady bitching about her prescription for her grandfather when you call our pharmacy you do not get the actual Pharmacy. They forwarded all calls specifically for the pharmacy to the call center and the call center sucks so bad so I don’t blame her for being frustrated there, but that’s not us. That’s the call center sucking at their job and digging them around until you know we close or they close whatever.
I don’t know the last time I called Walgreens. That’s what the app is for. Also, I wear my hat every week in church
“A head sitting in a chair”!! Hahahahaha!
Hats off in europe is common so the cctv can can capture your face for security reasons, some bars are same
I CANNOT stand when people listen to music, watch videos, have conversations on speaker, etc in public places. It literally fills me with rage.
Petition to change the name of the show to “Dont go Anywhere and Dont do Anything” 🤣
I almost guarantee that hook is probably for purses!! Not hats. EDIT: after listening to a little bit more I realized that clearly I’m wrong about this hook hypothesis.
I'm beginning to think there was a hex put on James to give him the worst hotel and airline experiences.
The number of businesses that are closed on random days, “due to staffing”, is staggering in my area. 1 is weird to me 5plus is insane. We are not ok.
My dad has become the person to use FaceTime in public. I call him at his requested time (the same time) every week and usually he’s at the golf course but I have received a tour of his gym and been on several Home Depot runs. He’s a boomer and a mess and no matter how many times I explain to him that he’s being rude, he says I’m his daughter and he’ll talk to me whenever he wants.
as someone who used to be a Pharmacy tech and worked at both a 24 hour Walgreens and at CVS I can say that retail pharmacy is one of the most sole sucking jobs ever, right behind call center work. The Walgreens was 24 hours, however after 11:30 it’s just a pharmacist in the pharmacy until seven or something the next morning and unfortunately, at both places the pharmacies are not given enough staff hours for them to actually have time to give a shit about their patients. They are simply scrambling to keep their heads above water and try and to fill the most prescriptions that they can in the time they have. there’s literally no extra time or energy to care about what their patients are going through. It sucks, but that’s the reality of working for a chain Pharmacy like that.
Forreal when i think about how much weed has improved since the 90s , teenage me is super stoked about it.
Man I'm so glad my mom is my weed dealer lmao
🤣
Amsterdam is so far from a chill place 🤣
Anaís is “ahh-nah-eece” or “ahh -nye-ees” at least how I was told.
The amount of times I’ve been in a bathroom and heard someone in another stall talking on the phone which is on speakerphone settings!
I start singing very loudly and my voice is not what you'd say is smooth.
THANK YOU for offering these every Monday morning. It makes Monday start off GREAT. If I could give you 100 stars, I would (IMSO—in my stupid opinion).
The no hoodies policy is safety: there is cctv everywhere and it is to prevent people covering the face... its to prevent situations of armed robbery , trust me, the coffeeshop culture comes with its own set of violence, be happy there are measures in place to keep people safe
my bank even has a no hoodies and no hats no sunglasses roll. Which totally makes sense there too.
If you’re able to bash them on social media, can’t you just order your prescriptions online? Then they’ll send you an alert when they’re ready.
That was my thought. I'm sure they have an app with pharmacy capabilities (typed right before I go into my Vons app to order a refill). At the least, you can check the status through the automated system by entering the Rx number
Review of pre-legalization bud dealers would be HILARIOUS. 😆 First time I ever saw a real eighth of legal bud, OMG.
Ohhh, I hate when people list to their crap music on the stupid tiny speaker in their phone. Happens all the time but I hate it.
And people having conversations on speaker. Get some ear buds!
At the dispensary near me they do request hats off and hoods down at least for the check in. Just part of their safety protocol want to make sure they know who you are. Always super polite about it which may be the difference. And I’ll also say this when my wife was going through chemo and was really self conscious about hair loss never once asked her to remove her hat or hoodie. Come to think of it they’re just a really wonderful place and I should go leave them a great review. Five star place definitely.
Never been unhappy leaving a dispensary 😍
Heeeeey!!! Good morning, afternoon or evening everyone!
Hello, fellow Turkey! It's morning where I am.
