Pattern and Instructions: The Boardwalk Sleeve
I know how much many of you love sleeves! We've added two sleeve options to the Boardwalk Sundress, so you can take that strapless beauty into a full milkmaid-farmgirl-shepherdess fantasy, or even make it work-appropriate for the winter. (Depending on where you work, of course!)

Don't forget! The Boardwalk Bodice is compatible with any bottom in the Lamour series, so you can mix-and-match the patterns to create dresses, jumpsuits, and rompers every which way you'd like. P.S. This sleeve pattern was not designed to work with any other bodice, but I know you're clever! I bet you could use it on something like the Barbara Bodice with a little bit of pattern adjusting. If you do use it with a different pattern, please share your makes so everyone can see it!

Hooray for the sleeves! I’ve lost 85 pounds over the last 2 1/2 years (Yay!) but the caveat is that I have lots of extra skin (Boo! No crop tops for me!). I have flappy batwings under my arms and I prefer to have sleeves. I also get sunburned very easily and have some sun damage on my shoulders. I have skipped over Boardwalk Sundress in the past because it wasn’t suitable, but now it’s definitely going in the project queue.
This is amazing, as my favorite make ever is the Rita top hacked into a dress with the Lamour skirt!

Cute but...will require adjustments to be able to use a regular bra. Could you do a blog post or something on lengthening the sleeve and moving the attachment point closer to the neck to make a narrower square neckline that will cover bra straps?

I’m so happy about this! I have skin grafts on my arms and shoulders from a childhood burn accident and I’m self-conscious about going sleeveless. I still do it on very hot days and ignore the stares, and dermablend does a great job of minimizing them on the burlesque stage, but I gravitate toward sewing dresses and tops with sleeves. This makes the boardwalk dress a lot more accessible to me. Thank you!
