Why I am moving away from itch.io (for the most part)...

Hello everyone! Just wanted to take a few minutes to explain my reasons for moving away from itch.io. It's not the site itself, as it is a very nice site for hosting downloads. It has more to do with all of these leech sites that, as soon as you upload something, they take it completely over. Allow me to explain.

In the image above, you can see a search for the Row Crop System I just posted has already been taken over by fs25.net. It's not even that sites like that leech from the official download sites. As you can see, it's pushed the official site right out of the search results. I had to scroll all the way to page 5 to even see my official download page, and it was posted first.

It has gotten to the point that posting to itch isn't doing anything more than generating traffic for these leech sites, which I'm not interested in doing.

This does not mean that the free downloads are going away. It just means you may need a free account here or there to have access to the free downloads. As a lot of people who know me know, I'm really not a fan of social media (at all). So, I rely on mainly word of mouth for most of what I do. This will be more of the same.

Like I said, just a head's up. If you see pages kind of changing over the next little bit, it's just me experimenting with a few different things.

That's all for now, have a good one!
