Upcoming Changes: 05/09/25

Hello everyone!

I wanted to talk a little bit about some changes I will be making to this page in the near future. I realize that the subscription model is not ideal for things like this, and that subscribing to a bunch of different pages does add up after a while.

For someone like me who doesn't actually play or actually use most of the things I write, however, this is about the only way I know to justify the time I spend researching and writing and responding to the help/support requests I get. I'm also not a fan of social media at all, as most of you already know lol. In other words, without this I would probably walk away from this game and move on to other things.

It's a balancing act. Most of what I do, outside of handling questions or support requests, is behind the scenes with nothing to really share. Unless you wanted to see walls of code and me scratching my head, writing in my notebook trying to figure out how to go about something lol.

So, I can see why a monthly sub for that wouldn't make a lot of sense to most people, especially the higher tiers.

That's why I plan on changing the tiers a little bit. There will be a new bare minimum tier for people that have a mod issue or just want to keep up to date with what's going on inside the lab. The second tier will be for Discord access (which is better for support conversations) and pre-release testing.

The top tier will mainly be for other modders who either use my work with their own creations, require help setting up game/mod features, or have requests for new features.

The amount of overall support I have is what I base the time I spend working on these things in a month. I still plan on releasing things on itch, and general release or update posts will remain free. It's just the support side of things that I'm switching to members only. I will be making that tier as low as I can while still covering my Patreon and processor fees.

In other words, most people should be able to have most of their support needs covered for about the price of a soda lol.

Hope that makes sense. Have a good one!
