Plans for 25
Well, I think it's time I address the elephant in the room lol. What are my plans for FS25? Well, everything is always up in the air until the new game comes and I see what all changed. Right now, my plan is to continue right where I leave off with 22 into 25. Removing things that get added to the base game and adding new things upon request.
The difference is, while I do intend on writing and releasing things for 25, I'm going to have much less of a social media presence for the support side of things (outside of what I do for my members here). There's just not enough time for it all. I'm just one guy, and between writing and supporting and finding time to make tutorials for my members here, there's no time left for anything else. I'll just burn myself out if I try to do it all.
Also, when it comes to projects, I'm going to apply some hard lessons I learned with FS19 and FS22. Again, I'm just one person so no matter how much I ever try to work on multiple projects at once, there's just no realistic way to do that. My attention will be focused on what my members request (as a whole). To avoid burnout, I might switch and work on a side project at times, but the main focus will be the main project requested. One thing at a time.
Outside of that, as long as I have the ability to do it, I'll keep on. One of the main purposes of creating a plug-in based system (i.e. Advanced Addon) is to have all of my shared code in one place so I don't have to repeat it (and overwrite the same functions over and over). Also some kind of menu system. That'll be the start point with 25 as I see it right now. Getting the core system up to date with the new version, then adding feature scripts from there. Should make things a lot more manageable.
We'll see what time brings, but those are the plans right now.
Have a good one!
