Now then, I'd been going around the north district together with the patrolling soldiers, but just as we were about to reach Central Avenue... I ended up parting ways with them.
They'll probably keep patrolling mainly around the foreign residential district.
I crossed the avenue and entered the east district.
"...I've already been through here plenty of times, after all. There's not really anything for me to see now, is there?"
Even at this hour, a lot of people are out and about, mainly on the street where the Adventurer Guild headquarters is, but... this is basically the adventurers' area, and they sort of serve as patrol soldiers themselves, so to speak.
If something happens, reports come up through the Adventurer Guild, and I don't think I'm going to find any problems at this point.
"Hey! Missy. You got business inside?"
While I was wondering what to do... an adventurer I knew came out of the Adventurer Guild headquarters and called out to me.
And from behind him, adventurers who seemed to be his companions came trailing out one after another.
They're still clean all over, so I guess they're about to head out hunting?
"I'm doing a loop around the city from the Merchant Guild. Are you all about to go hunting?"
When I asked, they nodded, "Yeah," and pointed east.
"Seems like the other lot hasn't gone over there today. The shallows should be free, too, so... we're thinking of hunting around there until the sun goes down."
"Hmm... Looks like they held off on entering First Forest yesterday too, so they're probably in the middle of gathering info on hunting grounds."

...The adventurers who show their faces around here seem to be operating normally.
If that's the case, I wonder if those sneaky folks have nothing to do with this side?
Well, it's not something to judge right now.
"You don't have to push yourselves, but if you happen to see outside adventurers in First Forest or wherever, could you at least keep an eye out for them? They probably don't know the rescue signals and such, after all."
Riana's adventurers... especially the ones who enter First Forest or the demonlands, tend to have a strong spirit of mutual aid.
It's a remnant from the old Zelkis era, when the Müller family was short-handed and the Knight Order couldn't even look after the demonlands, so the adventurers moved on their own.
Even now, they carry whistles into the forest and use them to give rescue signals.
The fact that outside adventurers struggle even in the shallows of First Forest might have a little to do with not knowing that.
You don't have to go out of your way to teach outside adventurers, but... if, while you're exploring, you keep in the back of your mind that they don't have whistles, the chances you'll think to rescue outside adventurers you spot might increase.
At my suggestion, they gave a wry smile and nodded, "Got it."

After leaving the Adventurer Guild, I didn't immediately resume patrolling the east district; just as I had in the north district, I flew up onto the city wall.
"Well... I don't see anything particularly unusual."
It's not that I'm disappointed, but I definitely feel like it was a letdown.
After all, unlike elsewhere, our adventurers listen pretty well to what their superiors say.
Maybe my grumbling was heard; a soldier on top of the city wall who was watching the state of things inside and outside the city called out to me with a laugh.
"Well, if something abnormal happened that easily, we'd be in trouble too."
"Apparently it was bad until a while back, but the current lot doesn't do anything too strange. The Knight Order has people who know them personally, after all."
Unlike the north district, the Second Squad is also participating in the security here.
But that doesn't mean the quality of the security drops.
Each might have a different line for what counts as no problem, but... well, that much is probably within acceptable range.
"Well... being peaceful is a good thing."
"How are things elsewhere?"
"I haven't seen enough of the city to compare it yet, but... in the north district, the bunch an outside merchant hired as guards were moving suspiciously. ...That's about it, I guess?"
