I still kinda hate how much they closed the gap between Goku/Vegeta and all the other characters with barely any real explanation. Krillin and tien and even the androids shouldn’t even be on the same team as Goku and all the “fights” in the last few episodes feel more like fanservice than actually seeing who can be in the tournament.

Whilst it's called the tournament of power, it's not just raw power that we need. Weaker characters like Roshi, Krillin and Tien have battle experience and unique skills that can be used intelligently to overcome more powerful enemies. A prime example was when Krillin ringed out Gohan a few episodes ago with skills and technique.

Gohan was giving me Cell Saga vibes this episode, because when he was in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber training with Goku he was demanding that Goku turn Super Saiyan and attack him going all out, just like in this episode, and Jack pulling out the controller for the beam struggle killed me😂😂

“I have a new goal now, an ultimate form that no Saiyan has achieved before, and I’m gonna puruse this form, by going down a different path” I love this line from this episode, it sounds somewhat deep ,and makes sense, I much prefer this episode dialogue over the alternate dialogue which was…….. “ I chose to keep evolving as a Human, not a Saiyan. I’m not relying on my Saiyan blood anymore”, now this line sounds somewhat deep, but it does not make any sense
I think both are good. It makes perfect sense to me. Gohan is half human, half saiyan. He is saying he will achieve forms and power that are unrelated to saiyan transformations rather than just go for SSJ Blue which he may see as copying his father rather than achieving his own new power.
I feel bad for Tien man, he was getting violated these past 2 episodes by Master Roshi and Gohan, Tien must have bullied or done something to Gohan as a kid because damn !! Gohan was giving him hands😂😂
I’mma just say it, regardless of the all hype this episode showed us, I think it's obvious that anime Gohan is not as strong as SSJ Blue Goku and he is nowhere near that level at this point in time, at best he around his Buu Saga levels of power or slightly above that, but TOEI ANIMATION has a recurring bad habit of using Goku’s strongest forms to try and unrealistically hype up a character’s return/power level, but then immediately after that TOEI will correct themselves and properly power scale the characters, and this bad habit throws off the fandom when they have their usual power scaling debates, but I will admit though, it was nice seeing my boy Gohan back in proper form and action, he was scary this episode
But in fairness your comment also doesn't really help the conversation because it's Purley based on opinion aswell, saying " I don't care what this episode showed us" is literally you saying you want to ignore what was shown based on your own opinion which is fine I guess but my opinion is that gohan deffos isn't as strong as ssjblue but he is way way above the kevel he was when he fought buu, I think it's also pretty clear that within this episode goku wasn't going all out in ssjblue and went kaioken just to see gohans fighting spirit, again this is another opinion right? Sooo it's actually us who confuse the power scaling conversation and that's cool since it's light hearted and fun to talk about as long as everyone remains mature you know.
