I hadn't watched the manga reactions, and just assumed you were caught up until you were surprised by the Gunko memory flash.

As a manga reader I would say do your best not to spoil. As a reader it is part of it to not ruin hidden details earlier, like the mark on the transponder snail, so anime only enjoyers can get the full experience. Thats just my thought tho
As an anime only I think you did good with talking about the differences between the anime and manga while also giving subtle hints about the mark on the phone. You didnt spoil anything and now im gonna be more focused on seeing that symbol without the surprise being ruined. It can be fun when you get hyped about something that is about to happen so I prepare for cinema. Thats just me though
Couldn't agree more . I'm reading the Manga since i caught up with One Piece ( shortly after Doffy was defeated in the Anime) . It was weird at the beginning because i never read comics or manga for at least a decade before i started reading/watching Op again . I quit watching One Piece as a kid when it stoppet airing on TV after Enies Lobby was over . That may sound ridiculous (and it probably is lol), but in Hinsight it was one of the best decision of my life to start watching reading Op again 😅. And with the Pacing and how it is now, i'm really not bothered by it because we get (imo) great adaptions for most chapters and i already know the Story. But i still look forward to every new EP the same as every new manga Chapter that comes out. That's just me though .... ^^
