Jack, I think the Bleach movies are all worth watching and reacting to if you were interested in that. There are 4 movies and they all have standalone plots that you can watch in any order, and they are all pretty good so I think you would like them. The 4th one tends to be the most highly regarded, and I would have to agree that it's the best one. The 1st one is also very good and a favorite of mine. 3rd one is also great. Weakest one is prob the 2nd one, but I still like it.

That was actually the first time you have seen shinji's bankai. What he used in fake karakura was his shikai which he also used against Bambi here.

Only movies 1 and 4 worth watching. Bleach Movie 1: Memories of Nobody is really good. It wasn’t originally considered canon, but with the additions made to the anime in TYBW, it has since become canon. Bleach Movie 4: The Hell Verse isn’t canon, but it’s still a really cool movie. It opens with a remastered version of Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra, and honestly, that alone makes it worth watching.

The Vollständig are basically their Bankai. Their so called holy form, which also increase the efficiency and the way their "Schrift" works.

Guys the exposition is so us the viewer knows what's happening, it's part of the manga art form, you can't have complex abilities without the character explaining what the ability is it's just how the art form works. It's like asking why rap has back beats so often, it's to elevate the main product (the lyrics). You can say it should be less obvious but when you have so many of these abilities in a short span of time it becomes unavoidable, Naruto, HxH, and Jojo all do the same thing. Yoshikage Kira literally tells Shigechi everything Killer Queen does before he blows him up and that's the only reason we're scared of it when Koichi confronts him later.

I think you got Shinji’s Bankai mixed up with his Shikai when he used it. His shikai does mix up your senses like you said (and he used it again Bambi), but his bankai reverses the perception of friend and foe of *everyone* around him. It’s the only time we’ve seen him use it, and it was actually premiered with this episode when it came out, I believe (unless it was in one of the light novels or something). It was not in the manga at all.

I think Bleach deserves some kudos, Jack asked why the quincies were so insistent on not talking to the Soul Society about ceasing the extermination of Hollows. But in Urahara and Mayuri's conversation they explain this exact reason right as the viewer would want to know, it's because Hollows are poisonous to Quincies. Just Hollows existing threatens to wipe out Quincies from existance. And this is revealed right after The Blade is Me where we learn that Ichigo's zanpaktou spirit has been a hollow this whole time, also answering why the quincies cannot steal it. You might say the Hollows are no match for the Quincies but that's after the Quincies had 1,000 years to do nothing but farm XP and after Hueco Mundo was weakened from the defeat of Aizen. I think it's incredible writing imo and that cour 2 is borderline flawless but that's just me.

People recommended you watch the first Bleach movie, "Memories of Nobody". It's a masterpiece. You need to at least watch that one. I think Bleach movies 1, 2, and 4 are very good. My man DiamonDust is named after Bleach movie 2 "Diamond Dust Rebellion" which is my personal fav of the movies. Bleach movie 4 is Hell Verse which is really hype it gives the deets on how hell works in Bleach and was supervised by Kubo. Bleach movie 3 is "Fade to Black" which I didn't like writing wise but I've witnessed people who claim it's their favorite movie so it's up to personal preference. There's a part in Fade to Black though where Byakuya makes a Portal 2 ass portal using his Bankai petals and jumps through it to teleport somewhere else which still makes 0 sense to me like my dude those are blades you just jumped into your own blender.

yeah the second invasion feels a bit weak compared to the first but the following three episodes are a highlight imo

In terms of komamura ( dog guy) when you look at it revenge is still revenge at the end of the day even if it's still a good reason for it or not, so him and Tōsen walked the same path for revenge cause they both felt justified in there thinking even if one is "good" or "bad". He basically failed his old self when it comes to ideals, hence why he ends up returning to a form resembling a helpless wolf searching for revenge . Also the big wolf clan leader is NOT a good person he manipulates his children by giving up their heart for the sake of "power", but that's just so he can eat their heart and take their life so he can live on forever, so he basically tricks them.

The Sternritter are very hax, even for shounen standards. Many weird abilities that don't allow for standard fights, It gets unbelievably crazy later on. Most of the fights are like chess matches.

Germany guy again: Vollständig - complete (It also sounds like "Voll stern dich" which would mean full star you)

The Quincy: Vollständig, which is their "Ultimate Form", many people just call the Holy Form, which is much easier to remember. So you can call this form the Holy Form as well. Also love how the subs butcher the name cause what in the fuck is a Voll Stern Dich. Vollständig means "Complete". Voll Stern Dich literally means nothing. I also love how everytime Shinji fights he is confronted by the worst match ups, cause yes, his ability feels like a weaker version than Aizens, but that's a REALLY high bar. First he fights Aizen, who straight-up doesn't care about anything and now against Bambietta, she can just ignore the confusion by blowing EVERYTHING up and hoping it hits him.

I would say that cour 2 is the weakest of the 4 by a decent margin, but that (thankfully) it gets better as time goes on. The early episodes are just sort of jarring given how quickly everything happens.

Shinji is the definition of talk shit, get hit
